Shadowmeld

This racial trait has been a major concern for me. The rogue class is one i've considered playing, all that is left is for me to decide the race.

People tell me to choose NE rogue, and in one of the threads here a few mention that shadowmeld 'stacks' with the rogue stealth ability. Would one of you care to define what you mean by this ? It would be much appreciated.

As far as i know, and as someone in that same thread kindly pointed out, the shadowmeld effect breaks once your character moves. In what way does this help the rogue? Their already present stealth ability is far superior to shadowmeld, what use does shadowmeld have ?

I have searched and have not found any official statement claiming that shadowmeld will be benefical to rogues in particular. Therefore i have to resort to information from the playerbase.

And for whoever that said Shadowmeld saved their lives in more than one situation, could you please be specific? My curiosity is insatiable.

I have yet to test shadowmeld on rogues but I would assume that if the NE rogue stands still then his stealth will be harder to detect (thats combined with his own stealth of course). If the rogue moves the shadowmeld stops working but his own stealth remains but the rogue will be easier to detect.

    Hope that helps!

In OB shadowmeld didn't stack with stealth. However, in the description of the skill it said it does stack with it, and I think a blue guy on the forums said it should stack, too(I could be wrong about that, though).

To answer your question about how it works, though... I don't know, because I didn't really try it.
