    >>With the new engine build, we have finally solved the desync issues we suffered from in the old network solution.

Talk about a lie. The desync problem is still there.

I have to find it a bit amusing that with no features turned on, they have "solve desync".

How do they know, if they don't have the whole game turned on? This is ridiculous and the fanboys just eat it up. I am going to laugh heartily on the launch of this game, and I am preparing a *lot* of popcorn because it's going to be an EPIC fail.

Of course it's a lie. But they have to release and it's going to be epicly bad. I am convinced now they are totally out of cash, and you'll see people leaving in droves after they can barely play.

That said... I am going to bet money people are getting resubbed without asking after the first month. So July 9th, watch out for those charges!

You're a tad misinformed her, the desync is indeed fixed. (Seen it for myself as have everyone else)

They've been doing it all on their server which even though I trust I'm just going to say this will be an interesting release, I expect most of the bugs but meh they still have a little time left.

It's really turned into quite a joke, and the statement about desync being fixed reminds me of the time Henrik did some little fix and was like "ALL LAG GONE!" then left for the weekend. The mental picture of that is hilarious.

Again -- how can the desync be fixed if EVERYTHING IS TURNED OFF.

It's like saying your cancer is fixed, we just took out all your organs. If you put them back in, will the cancer come back? What if they are the ones that are cancerous?

The amount of guillability exuded by the MO community (and exemplified here) is upsetting for so many reasons. Seriously Thorpeyrox, just look at it logically and ask yourself after reading my line about cancer, how they can possibly say that the desync is fixed. They are LYING.

I think the one who is a tad misinformed here is you, according to the several reports in the thread below, the de-sync still exists.

    http://www.mortalonline.com/forums/41762-desync-feedback-thread-5.html

Not to mention that now they seems to be back to start, enabling the feature one after another.. Considering that first time they released them resulted in lot of bugs, with a new core I would expect the same.

Turn everything on and see how well the game runs; MO is gonna sink fast!

Funny because I can play the game for 15 minutes and see multiple accounts of desync. Players and mobs hitting you from many feet away, warping, disappearing and reappearing.

Desynch is fixed now that all features are off and only 10 people are logging in sporadically for brief periods of time....LOLOLOL.

This is going to be EPIC.

I can't help but feel sorry for MO, if this desync issue really does still exist.. it's going to be one hell of a launch :).

The excuse on the forums is that it's not desync, but lag.

    *facepalm*

Just for the sake of the topic, they are releasing in June not July.

"The release date of Mortal Online has now been set: the 9th of June."

    http://www.mortalonline.com/news/rlease-update-14-05-2010

Regardless if their problems are fixed or not, they have a short time to do so.

No one said they were releasing in July...

    Sorry I misread someones reply.

  • keolienkeolien Member Posts: 198

I did..... You just seem to be a little anxious to reply is all....

    Nice sig btw.

    Edit:

Is anyone playing the beta now? Is the desync still there? As in the mobs floating 30feet in the air and being unable to hit them? How is beta playing out right now with the latest build? I know they have extracted most of the content from the game, but what about the networking structure? Does it appear to be any better?

You should read the beta forums ... people are posting screenshots of floating weapons, weapons in hand that are supposed to be sheathed, etc. It's hilarious. The game is in worse shape now than it was a month ago, if you can believe it.

And people are lagging like crazy (desync) even with nothing turned on.

LOL yea right, obviously you haven't even tried the latest build. There might be some lag(which is NOT same as desync), but if you look at desync report section you can see that it's pretty much gone. So I guess it's YOU who should be reading forums without ignoring everything else that random troll-posts.

    1. Most features aren't even turned on. If theres a time to claim "They fixed the desync" it's not when half the game is turned off.

    2. Many of the problems before (warping/flying pigs and players, disappearing and reappearing mobs and players) are now being labelled as "lag" problems rather than "desync" problems. The problems weren't fixed, they were shuffled around.

So why don't they turn all the features back on and show the world what a wonderful job they did?

"Sure we fixed the desync issues, but you'll have to buy the game to find out"

Desync was always worse under server load...Many closed beta players said it didnt exist until Open Beta due to server demand. (thus the 800 people cap in CB) Now, SV will not turn the features back on until its back in Closed beta.image

Wow.. did he just announce that they fixed the desync (for the.. oh 8th time or so) but that they closed the open beta and to see if he's tellng the truth you have to buy the game?   OMG this is hillarious.  They are going back to closed beta for 3 weeks before launch.  This way when there are only 100 people online they can all claim how the lag is gone and the server runs smooth!

    Three words:

    Blatant... Money... Grab

Hold onto your hats kids it's gonna be a wild ride!

This is going to bury DnL in the annals of MMO launches.  Between this announcement and the ninja-subscribing of people from 10 months ago.. THIS is going to be something we will be talking about years from now.
