I have noticed a rise in the number of sticky threads over the last six months. While this shows good moderation in the short term, in the long term the stickies will fill the forums. You need to do some weeding. In the Pub forum we still have a group versus solo thread, a Linux, the in the Spotlight thread etc.
You need to think about editing. For example must there always be an in the spotlight thread? If nothing looks that interesting can you say to yourselves, OK no spotlight this week? When will having one spotlighted thread become two spotlighted threads, that’s the danger of starting an ‘in the spotlight’ system, eventually everything is in the spotlight. Should a Linux thread not be in a technical/support forum? How long will the group and solo thread last, will it be here in ten years time?
