The heck is going on at Turbine right now? I can't get on the boards as they time out loading, same with account page (I was trying to retrieve my password to log into forums).
Brandywine can't connect to log in server. Frustrating as hell.
I wanted to post on the official forums, but it won't accept my password, so I go to change it, that time's out. Now the boards themselves timeout, and I can't connect to the game. Grr!
Apparently the game server log in is an issue with Shaw (in Canada). But why the boards? Do they normally do this?

Hm, might be something on your end, everything's working for me. I just tried it now, though. It could've been out before and I wouldn't know about it.
That would be weird, because I'm here and any other sites no issue. I rebooted, ran CC cleaner, I am freshly defragged, etc.
Only the LOTRO boards and account page and game time out.
The game itself simply can not connect and just retrys every minute or so.
Are the boards in New York like the servers? If they are all on same network it could be my ISP. As I said, Shaw have confirmed issues with NY based sites.
Did you try unplugging your router to clear it, then plugging it back in?
Yes, I did that too.
I waited enough times and got to the boards again (though I can't post, won't accept my PW
), there is a couple threads of people with Shaw ISP having same issue. I can wait it out, but not being able to connect to the boards and my account is annoying.
When I get to the boards main page after a few tries, I just time out after clicking on a thread or different section, so I start all over again.
Oh well, I'm giving up for today. No point in getting angry, I have done everything I can on my end. I'll assume all the issues are due to Shaw.
You may have already seen this, but it looks like they are aware of the problem and working on it.

By any chance do any of you have Shaw.ca as your ISP or are in Canada?
We're tracking what appears to be an internet backbone issue affecting users there and www.shaw.ca isn't loading either currently.

Not sure if its specific to one ISP or general area backbone issues but looks like connectivity in the North is having issues.

Wonder if that's the reason I can't use anything LOTRO related as well (boards, account page).
I work for Shaw but day off today, the wife has not been able to get on LOTRO either. There is a bit of an issue in the infrastructure backbone up here in Canada apparently.
I called Shaw, the CSR told me they are working on it. I've been noticing a couple other sites time out as well, seems to depend on location. Many other sites and games work fine.
Thanks for the heads up on the shaw probs. I'm with shaw and anything lotro doesn't load for me as well. But everything else seems fine.
