Alpha Test and Closed Beta

Alpha Test is testing out key points in a game that is far from completion.

A lot of things in alpha state will not work right because it is a state in a game in which it has just taken ther step from barebones.  The point of Alpha is to see stability and get feed back from testers on points that need discused  from key areas in which you were asked to test.

 

A Beta Test is in which most of the game is complete or the entire game is complete and the point is to find glitches and or bugs that exploit the game. The Beta is suppose to be the finished product with few bugs where the developers already have a pretty stable client and have added in the majority of quests, monsters, abilities, ect

Alpha and Beta are not the same and never will be just remember back when the Alpha for Doom 3 was leaked on the internet it was unplayable.

Not many people can say that they played in an alpha test because most companies do this test on their own but this company wants to make the game as best it can for its customers.

 

No its not an April fools joke.  No the game does not suck because the game is not finished yet so we simply can not make that statement yet.
