Question about forum rank

ValiumSummerValiumSummer Member Posts: 1,008

I have been a member of mmorpg since 2 of '03,  I have roughly 20 posts.  I have seen other members listed as "hardcore" and "elite" a  later "member since" date and even less posts?

My question is: what determines your forum "rank"?

I have seen the Arctic Circle... And it is round.

Forum Rank is explained here: http://www.mmorpg.com/faq.cfm/showFaq/6

If you want a high rank, log in and post often...I went to a rank of 60/100 with my 7 original posts. My rank dropped because I wasn't posting as often as I did initially.

Honestly, what's it really matter?  Rank means nothing except a filled star.

wouldn't the rank system then encourage spamming from new people? ...

It might. But Admin has said on a couple occasions that other things effect how much a post will count towards your rank. (I assume such things as length) So only a dedicated spammer would have to write long, useless posts instead of short ones for it to count. And if someone tries spamming up the boards the Mods here are usually pretty quick about deleting duplicate threads. The other thing is most posters on this site don’t really care for spam and I’ve seen on several occasions where people have posted them to stop. (alright! another useless, long post for me! ::::02::)

Spamming will make your rank go down.

Your rank is determined by how often you logged in and the quality of your posts and whether or not a post had been deleted

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
