Question about purchase

So i just finished my trial and loved every second of it. I love my runekeeper and looking forward to continuing on in the world.

Is there any point in purchasing the package containing mirkwood and moria? Or should i just purchase moria right now. Does the mirkwood xpack change anything in lower levels?

Thanks for any input guys. Looking forward to playing with you all! (On brandywine server)

Get both expansions for several reasons. First off, you're going to need it eventually if you keep playing and level your character. Second, it's a good deal money-wise. Third, SoM will open up all the Skirmishes at level 30, which is fairly "low level" content.

Also, when I subbed, they had the 3-month plan with a $15 discount, but I think that was only temporary. I got off with four months (a free month because of the purchase and a 3-month sub plan) for $30. Good deal.

Thanks Com! exactly what i was really curious about, the skirmishes, glad I'll be able to access them earlier.

And yeah i still see a 3 month deal open, so im going to grab that and start playing now!

    Much appreciated.

AFAIK, It doesn't add anything to the older levels. But, it's cheaper overall to buy them both at once, so if money isn't a big deal, I say go for it.

I DO think SoM adds more skirmishes though, so if you think those sound like fun (Min. Lvl is 30 I believe) it could be worth it down the road.

Just started playing again myself after a year absence. 15 more levels to get through /cry

I don't mean to be judgmental but those 15 levels are 15 levels of gameplay. The game doesn't open up at cap.

If you don't like the content in those 15 levels then you are probably going to hate level cap. There aren't enough raids to keep a capped person busy. You will probably still be doing skirmishes and working on your Legendary item or your skirmish soldiers.

That's what you do at cap.

Oh, I'm enjoying the content so far. I'm actually really excited to get into Moria proper (still 52 tooling around in Eregion). I was at cap in the original game for a few months, and I still have a TON of stuff to do. Finish book 1 and start on 2, deeds, crafting, find the last 2 pages I need for The Final Word, and a metric tonne of quests in Angmar and Forochel.

All that plus 15 more levels to gain just seems daunting after having been gone so long, that's all. Doesn't mean I hate the experience. image

     ok just checking. image

You'd be surprised how many people are trying to rush to cap to get into "end game" only for them to realize that they just rushed through the game with very little to do or at least things that don't interest them.

I blew through the content on my champ, my first toon, and I regret every minute of it.  This game is the epitomy of "it's not the destination, it's the journey".

My alt is moving at a snails pace and I'm loving every second of it.
