I see an article about Cabal and decide to see what it is (the obvious purpose of the article) and the website homepage tries to install software (nProtect keyCrypt) on my machine????????

Obviously a sleazy company. Still looking for a decent game.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the exact site you went to..? Sounds like you didn't go to the OGP or Euro Cabal homepage. I've played Cabal on and off since 08 and in all the times I've went to the OGP site, it's never tried to install a keylogger on my comp..

My av software blocked a known trojan downloader when it was trying to install.  Yep, uninstalled the game.  No way I'm going to run that.

Cabal had high hopes in closed beta, which was when I played.

Then it went downhill and is now a very generic, silly game.

nProtect keycrypt is a utility used by many mmo's, particularly asian ones to protect them and you from cheating.

It attempts to block keylogging, any program it detects that would alter the program or memory while the game is running.

It can sometimes stop those from even activating.
