Steam sale $2.50

Here's the Steam announcement:

EverQuest® is now available for $2.50/€1.99/£1.99 until March 26th! This deal includes a Steam exclusive in-game item the Shroud of Steam as well as 15 expansions (One per account. Not tradeable. No cash value.). If you start a new account you will also receive 30 days of free game time.

Hmmm, tempting....

I may just open up two Steam accounts to play again for $5 for a month of two-boxing goodness.

(Oh, and this includes the expansion with the mercenaries, but it doesn't include the latest expansion.)

So, if you haven't tried the mercs, give it a try for cheap. If you are a solo player, and have a spare computer laying around, make two Steam Accounts and you can enjoy all that content that requires three people - you and your mercs. Fun Stuff!!!

EQ1 isn't worth any money any more if you ask me. To old... make it F2P.

Haha, if it isn't worth any money at all to you, I'm quite sure you're not in their target audience, lol.

For others, $2.50, in these hard economic times, might seem like just the ticket for a trip down nostalgia lane.

You might wanna go check out some threads about STEAM because there's been people complaining about it.

Vocal minority; squeaky wheel receives the most attention.

I've been using Steam for years now and never had any problems and personally love the program.

Yeah I just picked it up even though I already own original that came with the Sony Station Box Set. As far as the Steam thread it's about DRM so that's not an issue here.

Television is old, really old in comparison, yet we still pay for that.  I have the Boomerang channel that offers the old cartoons from decades ago, as well.

But seriously, the pricing for the age of the game is quite good.  Just because something is "old" doesn't mean it's lost all value.

Another game that should be free to play . Admitedly 1.99 isn't much but i would rather have 2/3s of a pint .
