Ok, here are some questions

I've never been able to get these answers so I'm sure someone will know...

Horses (or mounts). I can't seem to find where to get these except for a place in the city that sold horses for several plat. Which seems extremely expensive. Or mayb that isn't expensive? Don't know. Where does one get a horse?

Sub question, it seems like there was a time where my shadow knight could summon a horse but i don't seem to have that skill anymore. Was it removed?

"Let us pause as the world of Norath hushes for "insert name here" who recieved "insert sparkly weapon here". What is this? I keep seeing these statements and someone gets a weapon that glows and spins look terribly expensive.

Teleporters. I've seen these things that look like 3 curved horns or spikes sticking out of the ground but for the life of me I can't figure out how to activate them.

That's all that has been tugging at my brain. Thanks.

Pretty much have to get the horses from the stables in Sth Qeynos or West Freeport.  There are also some armored horses available from the Maj Dul courts.  There are also plenty other mounts available like wargs, rhinos and carpets to name a few.

I'm not aware of that fluff spell being removed, perhaps try and go back to the trainer you may have to re-purchase the spell.

This means someone, somewhere has received their Epic weapon.

These sound like the teleporters to the Kingdom of Sky expansion zones. You talk to guy standing in the middle, he will automatcally give you a token, then you just stand in the middle and wait for the timer to expire and you will be teleported.

Mounts: Buy them from the guy you found in the city, yes, they cost a few plat. There is also the warg mount that you can get from Loping Plains village. Talk to the guy with the wargs once you are 55+ to start a quest series that ends in a warg mount as reward.

Crusader mount: Shadow knights and Paladins get a 'slow' mount from their trainer at level 20 I think it was.

Message: Yes, that player received their Mythical weapon.

Teleporters: You can talk to the guy and get a token, depending on what Spire you are at you will be teleported to one of the Kingdom of Sky zones once the time expires. If your server has completed the Spire quests you can also teleport to any other Spire in Norrath by clicking on the 'swirl' in the middle of the Spire.

Mounts are expensive (for a newbie) to buy.

That being said, if you've purchased the game with expansions, you should probably have at least the Ykeshan Bear mount from TSO.  Type /claim in-game and see if there is a mount available there.

That's assuming you've actually bought it and with expacs.

You DO get free mounts a couple of points in the game, but those quests aren't always easy.  Although the one for a free warg is very easy, but that isn't until lvl 65ish and you want a mount before then.   You also get a big discount on horses when you're in a guild.

I honestly can't tell whether that Bear is any faster than just running...

at high level it is.  it levels along with the character.  at low level, most mounts are pretty slow.  totem of the chokidai is pretty win though :)

hmmm, well, though I'm not a role player per se, I do think that a certain amount of congruity should accompany my character. Meaning, I don't really see a Shadow Knight or Paladin riding a bear.

It's a shame about the horses as they are very expensive and it just looks silly for a knight (whether dark or light) to be running everywhere.

But in any event, thanks for the info!

    Just a quick correction:

The quest line to get your Warg can actually be started and completed as early as 55. The initial quest is a level 61 quest, but does not require you to be 61, it is just a recommendation.

Some classes will have a harder time than others if they attempt this at 55, but with a little effort and some dedication I'm certain every class could complete it at that level. I have personally done it on a Swashbuckler, Shadow Knight and Zerker.
