Yes, blizzard will get more money if they opened it. I personally know 5 people that would come back to wow for a Vanilla server.
Like I said, there's more to opening a server than just setting up the server and loading up the software. It would be a totally different entity for maintenance, support, GM's etc. I doubt the smidgeon of people that might use that single server (even if it was high/full) will be worth it to them financially to bother with such an anomaly, they make plenty through other measures or possible new ones.
Once you got 15+ people you should first go ZG or AQ20, and put that on youtube. Should be a good ad to get more people for MC, BWL and AQ40.
We figure the first time we down a 10m raid in all pre-bc gear we'll get much more people.
I can't remember any 10man raids in classic WoW. Though the talents and equipment and stuff all got stronger over the years, so I guess you cantry and do a 20man with 10 people.
I understand I should be posting this in the Guild section, but no one has posted in that forum for the past twelve days. ------------------------------------------ Hello, and welcome. <A Forgotten Challenge> We are going to be raiding Pre-BC Horde content.

Actually, back in the "olden days," I believe the "raids" were 40 man. There have never been "20 man" raids. (25, yes) And if I remember correctly, both Stratholme and Scholomance were 10 man instances in vanilla WoW.
Of course, this was all 5 years ago, and at MY age...I do well to remember what happened yesterday, much less 5 years ago.

Strat and Sholo are option 10ms.
AQ 20
I was told MC was 20
But one of our guildies has a book on Pre-BC
I personally never experienced it, I'm just really curious and excited for a challenge.

Good gawd I really AM losing my memory....badly. I remember AQ being both 20 AND 40, yes, MC...don't remember it being 20...and certainly thought ZG was 25....

I'm always wondering why you guild keep those restrictions, I can understand just vanilla acounts or not levelling past 60 but....
Restrictions on gear,proffs,classes,... Just doesn't make sense. You will never get vanilla raiding with or without restrictions.
The class and gamemechanics have changed so much that everything is so different from vanilla and with that read: a lot more easier then it was back in those days.
So skip restrictions that don't really give more then a false sense of "we are doing it like it's supposed to" and just play it to enjoy with just the only thing being: not outlevelling the instances.
Nevertheless, hope it goes well and you find a good bunch to have fun with

Sure, there's people who will accept it for what it is, but there's also the ones who won't. There's also the completely different handling of that one particular server at maintenance, for tech support, GM's etc etc.
you techies always try to make things sound bigger then they are, its servers man you set 1 box on old school 10 servers and leave the other 200 for everything as is.

So you're expecting a vanilla option to be there at extra payment? Because there's a massive difference between them without that.
Yes, blizzard will get more money if they opened it. I personally know 5 people that would come back to wow for a Vanilla server.
Im totally for this idea, but finding 40 people to do it might be too hard. Not even mentioning getting them on at the same time.
