Why blizzards customer service is fail.

Resently i went to log on my wow account after months away from the game and found a Authenticator was added to my account. I called the surport line and got a very crappy line saying were sorry we are busy call back another time. So i emailed them only to wait 2 days for them to tell me to contact billing. I played for 4 years and i know there bad at customer service but this is garbage. Thank you blizzard for your pro customer service have a good one im going to Star Trek Online they can have my money.

It's sad but Blizzard's support is one of the best in the industry.

Although I noticed a recent MASSIVE drop in quality / quantity of it. Getting a GM on my server takes two days.

Same thing happened to me a week ago, took Blizzard all of four hours to fix it.

Blessed with good luck when it comes to CS I' am.

Lots of account hacking going on lately and Blizz is probably busy trying to figure out the how and why of the problem. As has been stated, there is most likely a long line ahead of you.

    True, and....not totally true.

My partner is still playing WoW, but her work schedule prevents her from being in game for hours and hours on end. To GET a GM in game....you have to BE in game. If you are not....then they SAY they're going to send you an email with directions on how to contact them....sometimes they do....sometimes they don't. For us...that has seemed to be a pretty much 50/50 possibility. Not that it matters...because the email only tells you they tried to contact you in game and here's a phone number (where you can be put on hold for hours)....*sigh*

Sharon has been reporting several bugged quests repeatedly for a month now. Any more....she pretty much just logs back in to run around to these quests and see if they've fixed any of them yet. She (who I have thought for the past 4 years, is the ULTIMATE WoW fangirl, is becoming disillusioned). I left WoW months ago, with many apologies to my family, because I simply couldn't take it anymore. Of the 3 of us, I'd been playing the longest (since release) and I had just become so bored I couldn't rationalize paying for it for ME.

It's been a full month, and no fixes. And the problem is not on her side....our son logged in to try them to check....he also finds them broken. Two different computers, the son has a few mods, Sharon has NONE. One running Vista, one running XP, both high end gfx cards, 4G ram....etc....it's not on our end.

There is no excuse for quests still being bugged after a month. And if the only way to actually SPEAK with a GM is to STAY IN GAME for 2 full days.....who the fuck is going to do THAT?

To the OP, did you scan your computer for trojans? The big thing these days is for a hacker to add an authenticator to an account to buy them a little more time to do what they want to it.

I have similar problems with blizzards CS and yes they do suck... For one problem i had, it took them a week to respond to my ticket and then a week to fix it. It was a simple item looting problem, master looter gave it to me instead of the dude that won the roll by accident.

I havent played the game for about 4 months now and will never go back to it not just because of the CS but because of how stupidly simple the game is now and besides there has to be an end to everything and WOW's is coming in the next few years i think, now that SWTOR is on the horizon... BIOWARE FTW....blizzard = epic fail

"out of the frying pan... into the fire" is about cooking a fish.

Say you're the fish, obviously being in that frying pan isn't so good for you so say you manage to flop out, you've escaped the problem good job!  Except now you're roasting in the fire.

In other words its a saying that means getting yourself out of one situation and into a new one that's just as bad or worse.

It was a older computer i was on and now im on a new one. Funny thing is i cancelled the account 2-3 months ago. So who ever hacked the account is using someone else's credit card to pay for it. I know for a fact it was info from another source other then my computer because i used my friends credit card once during the account was active 1 or 2 months ago and once i found out i called him and he called the bank and there was no odd transactions on his card so maybe they got the info off of a website or somewere else.

There's no excuse for bad customer service, but did you by chance sell your account or gave it to someone else to play when you quit?  If so, blame yourself imo.  Otherwise, it's blizzard's fault for not expanding their CS team to meet the demands.

Recent hackings are making life difficult.  I've recieved 2 emails from "Blizzard" that actually has legit looking emails and tags.  I even looked at the properties to see where it goes and got www.blizzard.com/support/... but inspecting the contents of the email it's the same info and format from previous account phishing attempts so I just ignore it.  That and I don't play WoW anymore so good luck on teh key logger on that one.

I still find their support to be pretty well.

It sucks though that you have to call for many things and cannot handle things with emails at your own leisure as I found the german CS phone line always busy but luckily know some english to use the english customer service which seems to have more people.

Anyone ever tried to get something done by a gm in UO? After that any customer service is a cakewalk and wos service seems godlike.

Same thing happened here. I spent 4h on the phone. I actually fell asleep on the sofa waiting. Once I got to speak to a woman she made everything alright. Just took a week to get my stuff back, but all is good. I now use an authenticator and thing that when you purchase a game one should come included.

Customer service is an MMO's biggest expense after launch.

It's why games have been dumbed down, like adding sparklies or glowing arrows to quest items or even making raids easier.  Anything to reduced customer service tickets.

I have a theory that customer service is why Star Wars Galaxies was nerfed.  SWG had a healthy population but it could've been losing money due to customer complaints.  Sony comes in, rewrites the game with the sole purpose of reducing customer service tickets.

Blizzard's customer service sucks because they are ineffectual, doesn't matter how slow they are. I've never had a GM fix any of my problems effectively, I've always had to google forums groups for fixes.

Blizzard's community managers IMO are worse - they simply tell everyone what they want to hear - "yes your class is getting improved in the future", "wait for cataclysm", etc.
