For me, I am hoping to see the end of the "pay for beta" launches and the end of games that launch with just the basic features and expect people to pay for them for "potential."
What im looking forward to is something that hasnt been announced yet. I dont know what it is but I will know it when it happens. Something in a different setting maybe, im fond of Greek mythology, or maybe a good science fiction mmo. Nothing I see upcoming really does much for me at all. So like the other fellow. Good games is what im looking forward to.
really, nothing else in the MMO genre has as much going for it as this expansion. Theres as much going for it as there is going against it. Theres going to be so much drama on both sides of the fence, so many changes.
If anything is going to be a wow killer, its going to be cataclysm. However, I think it may upset a lot of the theory crafting geeks and push them away from the game.. on the flipside its going to draw even more of the wysiwyg new gen mmo gamers.
what am I looking forward to playing? Earth Rise. I think if they time their release post cataclysm, it may pull the old school theory crafting geeks that just got pushed out of WoW.

I'm looking forward what Fallen Earth will bring me this year.
All the other MMO's coming out I will try or play but aint seeing anything that is keeping my intrest for now, of course that might change if I get a change of playing any of the upcoming MMO's, but so far none of them excite me, even STO and SWTOR which I normaly am fan of Star Trek and Star Wars do not excite me in a MMORPG way, mainly pure in a gaming I am curious way.
FFXIV, GW2, Global Agenda (more of a curiosity, rather than looking forward to it, but I am intrigued).
I liked what SE tried to do w/ FFXI, and initially I thought the game was amazing.
GW2 would probably be the game I'm most looking forward to, but I'm going to keep my reservations about the game until it finally releases, I don't want to inflate my expectations for it, as I was a big fan of the first one.
Other than that, I'm really just hoping that 2010 isn't a repeat of 2009 (which is sadly a very big possibility. MMOs take years to develop, so the ones releasing this year are still partially stung by the recession we're trying to get out of.) I'll also keep an eye on SWTOR. I have my doubts, but if it seems to keep doing well after being released for a bit, I'll probably give it a shot.
The sad reality for me is I see no MMO in the 2010 (unless that WH 40k MMO gets announced) that I am wanting. I have almost been out of the MMO picture for a year now. Finished with college (got my Bachelor in Science - Computer Science) and looking for a job, I really can not find time to spend on MMOs which already give me a bad vibe about them.
Maybe something will catch my eye in the future, but I feel pretty hallow in terms of MMOs.
MMOs Played: I can no longer list them all in the 500 character limit.
As an optimist I hope that either Guildwars 2 or World of darkness online launch in December or at least starts their betas by then. I really look forward to them, particularly GW2. About time someone actually makes a full budget game with new and cool features and a good programmer.
Earthrise, IMO, is the only game that shows any promise of offering something different in the MMO world.
Now, if it doesn't make it in 2010, that's fine with me also. Heck, I am finding the integrity of publishers to be of more importance than any list of game features could ever be.

I am looking forward to good games, that is all.

I second that.
I'm looking forward to TERA Online, the only MMORPG that's interested me before release for years.
Cataclysm

Prepare to be disappointed.
In 2010 I'm looking forward to winning the lottery to fund a well polished and challenging MMORPG just so I can watch it fail horribly.
Forever looking for employment. Life is rather dull without it.
3 things have my utmost attention so far.
1. TERA, like the quoted poster. The next game that has gotten me over-hyped (I'm such a sucker).
2. Development of Diablo 3.
3. The information on the next Blizzard MMO.
I'm just looking forward to the first part and then taking my winnings on my first vacation in over 8 years.
Thinking about it, I've got a bunch...
Let's see...
FFXIV - Looks interesting, the graphics and animation look amazing, we'll see.
SWTOR - I love Star Wars, this is the second Star Wars MMO ever made, I'm prepared to preorder it.
Global Agenda - It's Sci-Fi, it's F2P, and it's got guns, I'll give it a shot.
STO - I'm not to sure about this one, but I liked CO, so I'll get it simply because I like Cryptic.
APB - First modern, crime based MMO I've ever seen, can anyone say GTA in an MMO?
Cataclysm - WoW was my first MMO, I'll keep resubbing for new patches and expansions for a while.
Mortal Online - I'm curious to see if this game actually takes flight and turns into a fun sandbox game.

Seeing what becomes of STO (will it sink or float?), Global Agenda, Dawntide and Mortal Online.
