Star Wars: The Old Republic Writer Neil Pollner, Art Director Jeff Dobson, and Associate Lead Designer Emmanuel Lusinchi break down what went into designing the Sith Warrior and Sith Inquisitor classes in this latest Developer Dispatch video.
In the video, each design and art decision is has been focused on emphasizing the dark side themes of power, domination, and destruction.
Also, our very own greed0104 posted an in-depth dissection of the video. The dissection highlights a number of key points revealed in the video such as a level cap of at least 30, some level of World PvP, a look at the various armor and lightsaber types the Sith Warrior and Inquisitor will be able to wear, and more!

Went into some fairly nice details, also showing micro clues on the game like pvp, jumping, and hot chicks do PvP ( call me buttercups ) but sadly they looked like jedi GAH. All in all was a good news cast which they are doing much better than STO on in the PR dept.
Things i would like to see come out soon most of which they already hinted on some but lets see more of the BH, Smuggler, agent in combat footage. Also I hope they release more info on a market, and crafting soon as that will make or break a game and it is big news to most. I'd assume we'll hear a mid-2010 open beta they look to be doing a good job so far and I am liking the slight changes in the armor sets to reflect more non-childish cartoon looks.
Three days late.
the thing is, I never looked at the Emperor as being different from Darth Vader. Not a separate class. I always looked at him as being very old and very powerful which is why he used the powers he did. Almost as if he transcended weapons.
but I suppose it's an interpretation.

PvP at last what looks to be open world PVP too...
BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.
Graphics normally take a large backseat for me when considering a game, but the exaggerated, almost cartoon-like TF2 style they are going with is becoming increasingly hard to ignore. For me, it's a question of immersion. I don't care too much about the graphics, so long as the game play is good but when they start to break immersion it becomes an issue.
I think it's going to be difficult (for me at least) to immerse myself in the persona of a Sith Inquisitor when he looks like Dirk the Daring.
I won't skip the game because of the graphics (like I did with Borderlands), but they aren't making it easy.
Graphics and Art Style are not the same thing.
Then substitute "art style" for "graphics" and then make a cogent comment that contributes something. You clearly know what I am saying, so why pick at nits?
I contributed a correction, I'm not going to try and persuade you. Different tastes in art etc.
To answer your edit. Graphics and Art Style are confused a lot on boards here. I was just making a friendly correction.
I am still sold on the Sith Warrior

First footage of PvP and it's keyboard turning clickers. >_<
Don't forget backpedaling
If every game was played the same we'd still be using paddles...
Nothing excites jaded Grandmasters more than a theoretical novelty
lol, holy crap... that one takes me back!

There was this little thing called Christmas. Maybe you've heard of it.
I saw Yoda the same way, but the crap that was Episode II ruined that idea.
Ok, question from noob to SW vets: What class would Darth Tyrannus (Count Dooku) fall under? Inquistor or Warrior?

I would say he fits the profile of a Warrior. Lots of skill with the lightsabre and strong arm for Darth Sidious.
"If we don't attack them, they will attack us first. So we'd better retaliate before they have a chance to strike"
I would say Warrior with a touch of Inquisitor. He actually warned Obi-won about Darth Sidius and wanted Obi to be his apprentice.
