Is it possible to level with groups?

How top-heavy is EQ2 now? Last time I checked I was mostly alone, leveling solo with the occasional (not too frequent) groups, and I'm not really a top player (neither do I have any top level toons nor do I enjoy the raid grinds that games like WoW represent).

Are there guilds that play-level? Or is it just "get to the max and start grouping then"?

Well, I haven't played in over a year. But I was a high level toon. I played on Antonia Bayle, there wasn't many lower levelers, but they were around. If you want people to group with from the bottom up, best advice I could give is wait till the next expansion comes out. They are bringing back Odus and its supposed to have content from the bottom levels to the top. I am sure there will be an influx of new characters playing all the new content. I think it comes out early next year, so the wait shouldn't be too long. I am considering a return myself after I finish all the games I get from my wife for Christmas, not sure yet though.

I made 60% of my xp in groups, and that is just because i play odd times. After the first 16 levels or so is it easier to level in groups than solo, or at least faster.

there are loads on instanced and non instanced dungeons to play and finding PUGs are not that hard to most places. There are also many guild that helps people to level up so they can get them into the endgame faster.

I play at Lucan Dlere and it is easy to find groups at normal playing time, in the early morning it is another matter.

But the answer to your question is yes, it is very possible to level with groups after the first few levels. It is also easy to solo up, whatever you prefer.

There are a lot of casual guilds that level and instance a lot and don't raid. Most raid guilds though they are willing to rush you through instances to help you level/finish your quest. Join a family raid guild is probably the best bet for you.

Play on Antonia Bayle if low level groups is important to you.
