The real reason Darkfall gets the most clicks on every day at mmorpg.com - Cheating.

A Darkfall fan admits that they are using twitter with a big circle of friends to make sure that Darkfall gets tons of clicks every day. If even 30% of the Darkfall players clicked it once per day they would probably get enough to get the n1 spot each day.

MMORPG.com should do something, or that list means nothing, perhaps they should just remove it if they can't.

They've been doing it since long before release. And they'll do it right up to the end.

Don't worry about it, everyone who's been here long enough knows the hype meter is bullshit to be ignored.

I'd rather play an autotarget game than this failed attempt at trying to make a fantasy mmorpg play like a FPS.

Civil burden of proof: On the balance of probabilities.

Internet burden of proof: Some guy mentioned that he read something some other guy said.

Must be Aion you're talkin about ?

Darkfall is an original & excellent game, bringing back a sense of adventure unseen in mmo's for years.

Just like Eve online, It has lots of fans who're fed up with WoW clones. Try it you'd be surprised .. and challenged

I would think it  more likely a few people using some sort of program to do this and not thousands of people have put a coordinated effort together up darkfalls ranking.  believing that 30% of the darkfall community,  thousands of players,  are all working together in some sort of conspiracy like this is INSANE.

If you'd been around before launch and after and paid any attention at all to some of the more "eccentric" of the DF fanbots, you'd realize the only insanity is that they HAVE DONE IT.

What's the worse than can happen as a result of this? Some moron reading it, ends up takiing it as gospel buys the game and is disappointed in the end? Good it'll teach him/her to research what they buy a little more, so we don't get as much whining on these forums.

I don't see the problem, anyone can do the same with any other game. It's an hype-meter, it's there to be used.

in red the irony you have no idea how the web 2.0 and twitter works

each time u make a thread like this it will be posted a twitter/facebook etc by a script then ppl have filter based on words like darkfall and that ppl get a live feed about any related to said word, U are the best marketing tool by posting this thread and i just bumped this thread so feedburner get in on recent threads from mmorpg.com :P :P :P

WTF! there was already way too many posts on this, then you start another one this morning, during whioch someone pointed out the conversation had already been done to death. Now you start another one, with what is stupendously old, boring, poinless news, with the results of the thread you already created earlier, Are you getting paid for posts per hour?

Is there a rule against this? Could you please post a link to said rule? If not, how is this "cheating"?

There aren't any good MMORPGs out at the moment that most people arent' burnt out on already, so at least they can play the click on DF game.

    I found this funny:

"DArkfall players not only are top dogs at twitch skills but also very clever in the use of any technology and very smart people in general ;)"

Zorvan i have been around for both.  And the thing between df fanbots and trolls is they are both equally insane.  But neither is coordinated enough for a stunt like that.  One would be insane enough to do it but not the masses.   Which is why I suspect a program  (i should not say suspect should more say obvious) The OP here is just the flip side of the coin for ya.  I have seen enough of your post to know you do not fall into the retarded troll area.  But do not pretend the the trolls for this game are not equally off the wall.
