I have Torchlight and think it's an excellent game.
Although a little simplistic, it has playability and that's what matters.

You can make the same case for mmos. Anyone can make a multiplayer cartoony mmo and slap a price on it. Your comments are moronic at best.

Heh, I always though being easily entertained was a positive trait. At least it means that it's less easy for you to be bored.
That being said, I really do enjoy Torchlight. I especially love the vanquisher class, because very rarely to I get to play with guns in fantasy games. Plus, it really does keep me extremely entertained as well, because I love the fast-paced fighting and the character animations, and the music. Oh, and don't get me started on the pet that you can actually send off to sell loot! I wish more games had that.

I think Torchlight is a fun, faced pace, hack and slash. It gets a 8.5/10 from me. Very good game all around.
i had no internet for a week and torchlight saved me during that time. but now that im back online i dont feel compelled to load it up. i dont care what the reasons were for not adding multiplayer to it. in my opinion, it was a mistake. its a great game though.
If you stand VERY still, and close your eyes, after a minute you can actually FEEL the universe revolving around PvP.
I love that when any MMO comes out every jumps on its back for being a clone of another game (Alganon). This is a clone of Diablo! So yes it should be good because it is extremely similar to Diablo which is one of the classics. Oooh you get a pet big difference.
Also they are planning on turning it into a MMO in 2 years so multiplayer will be a long wait.
its made by the same studios as D1 and 2 now called runic games, even the musics the same guy, no wonder its "a clone".

The game is fun i got raped so many times..I thought they never stop attacking me..And yes i love the pet..You can send it to the store to sell and it comes back..And the Mod Editor (TorchED) is fun to tinker with the game..Its a ++ for me...Over all its a 8.5 for me..
