I have fond memories of this when I played it a while back, and was pleased when I heard it had gone ftp.

Unfortunately, the US version is the free one, but...nevermind, I am downloading it as I type, and will be diving in US side...if it is still funky, I may reopen my EU sub.

*insert grumbling about Codemasters here*

I downloaded it a couple of days ago (also an ex-EU player from beta, and for about 3 months of live) and I have to say I've been surprised how mcuh slicker the game is now. Part of that is that my rig being much better these days, but the game has received some serious pollish.

The new starting area is a massive improvement on the old one. Much more immersive. The old one seemed a pretty convoluted "this is how we play the game kids", the new one is much more subtle . No shortage of lower level players (I assume trying it out again like me, or first timers) for groups. The first time I heard the DM voice over again I remembered just how much it adds to the experience of an epic adventure.

Not noticed any lag issues even from the EU, though busy towns take a few seconds to load up all the player models there was no lag in dungeons worth mentioning. Going to carry on with the free content for a bit to see whether I'm going to resub, but it's looking likely at the moment.
