This game has great potential, but I feel it is ultimately eclipsed by the problems that it suffers. I will outline what I consider them to be here.
1. Botting and Cheating - With bots like SZbot ,Aionbuddy and Macrogoblin running rampant, the game is obviously completely unregulated or regulated at the bare minimum. Gold spammers, even though many have been thwarted, still take to long to be banned, and many bots have been running 24/7 since as long as I can remember. I personally feel that people who defend the lack of effort NCsoft has put forth to stop botters are deceiving themselves, a handful have been banned while 1000's still grind away 24/7. In addition to botting, the no-animation cheats for melee characters, such as offered by Aionbuddy are also gamebreaking, you may not even know that you've been the victim of a cheater that was bypassing animations(on their end, you will still see them, just faster) to squeeze in many more attacks.
2. Lack of Hard caps on abyss areas - The bot problem is only compounded by the fact that if you aren't on top of the leveling curve, grinding is the abyss is usually out of the question. I have personally leveled 3 characters into the 30's and the first time I was near the top of the curve and had very little problems, now on the 3rd, the amount of high 40's that camp lower level areas is absurd. The game encourages ganking of lower levels because ganking equal levels usually leads into a 5 minute chase that can end in their escape. PvP in the abyss is fine, but loses its appeal when you have 0 chance of winning,. A difference of only 5 or so levels usually means you'll never land a spell/attack on the higher level person.
3. Lack of incentive to group - The game is grind, yes, there ARE 50's already, but most were either being played by multiple people, or elyos exploiting logs. Grouping , especially pre-35-38 usually slows down the XP rate of Most DPS classes. XP is evenly split among the group members, so if a Mob would give 300k, a 6 man group gets 50k each. For most if not all DPS classes, the extra time involved in dropping elites surpasses the extra XP per kill, so it is faster to just solo grind. I am fine with how grindish the game is, except I feel that there should be an XP bonus of say 10% or so to a full group. Instead of a 6 man group getting 16.6% of what the mob is worth individually, they all get 26.6% instead. This, I feel, would encourage more of a sense of community and fun instead of players selfishly grinding away in their little corners of the world.
4. Poor performance on Fortress raids - What can I say about this, needs work in all aspects. People with kickass PC's just have client crashing issues. While people with factory PC's are a mixxed bag. Coupled with the fact that when you DC from a fortress raid, you get kicked out to a preset spot, their may or may not be a group of hostiles camping the spot where people who crashed will log in at.
While I feel this game is fun, it loses most if not all of this at times when these problems present themselves. Bots everywhere ruin immersion, while the inability to visit the abyss(the key point of the game) till near max level is also frustrating. Great things like the amount of world bosses and challenging group content, and excellent pvp(if equal level) are at times surpassed by the amount of work or complete inability to participate in these activities.

I think a lot of these problems have been discussed in other threads and that people may be tired of rehashing them in yet another one.
Responses have been done to death. Nothing really new in this post. Sounds like someone wants attention. It's cool to hate on Aion nowadays.

Good points.
Although to me the crucial mistake is issue number 3.
I could cope with the grind, but having no reason to group or no dungeons to play is basically what made me quit (first dungeon is at level 28, when one at lvl 18 would have made more sense).
Too solo friendly, and even the solo content is not as enjoyable as, let's say WoW (I don't play WoW fyi)

Exactly... there is NOTHING new on this post that hasn't been hashed out a million times. Frankly, no one really cares anymore to be honest with you. You don't like aion - that's fine... why are you still here posting about it? There are plenty of us who DO like the game - so we're basically at the point where we'll post if its something worthwhile or ignore it if it's not.
Ill let you guess which your post falls into

You sir are full of lies. Either your a well paid troll or simply anti social. Heres your grouping right here blind boy;
Black Claw elites 16-20
Lava Caves Elites 23-26
Training Camp Instance 25-27
Ice Claw 27-30
3 Keys Quest 30-31
Fire Temple 31+
Mist Mane 36-40
Citadel 38+
All these have a heap of group quests that reward alot xp and gear. These places cover all level ranges after 16, Should i keep going?

Theres no need, its honestly a waste of your time.
It doesn't matter if you mathematically show these people ... well.... anything really.. they'll still fire back with "Korean Grind Fest" as their argument.
Its pathetic - so just leave em be
In a few weeks I figure they'll be off these forums with something better to do (or at least - here's hoping)
I agree not really worth it to reply to negative troll posts.
In my opinion Aion is not simply a game "that has potential".
PotBS, TR, AoC, WAR, Vanguard, DF, FE etc. all those games at launch had/still have potential.
Aion is different in that it is already showcasing us a lot of its potential, which in turn translates into being a good game. It does most of the things it said it did, some better than others, but overall I wouldn't class it with the games that "have potential". It's already a complete, polished, and balanced game.
Concerning your points, I partly agree with number 1 (bots) and 4 (crashes). Sorry for not elaborating, but I too am tired of the same rehashed threads and I've discussed these issues a gazillion times already that I'm bored of them!
