Can't log in

   I just created an account yesterday because I was thinking of trying this game. I went to the forums to ask some questions, but I keep getting an error page saying "We were unable to validate your login information. Please check that your username and password are correct, and that you have an active subscription." I thought it might take a day before it reconizes me, but still nothing. So when I click on the help page it takes me to my account page for LOTRO. Why?

    I just tried to make a new account to try the game out and I couldn't get past the information page. Maybe they've got some kind of validation server error.

    There was some login issues yesterday so could be related to that. I had no problem loggin to the forums in with my free account.

    If you have trouble register an account it could be some issues with your internet provider (like Virgin in UK), you can email Turbine to get an account.

    If WoW = The Beatles
    and WAR = Led Zeppelin
    Then LotrO = Pink Floyd

    Forum and game accounts are separate. It is possible that you may have selected a different username/password or not signed up for a "community" account when you signed up for a game account. I think you can check that out at accounts.turbine.com.

    Hi

    Thought I'd add my two pennies worth as far as not being able to log in goes..... I used to play it a while back so i tried to retrieve my old account details , they aint no thing not even a chicken wing!! they dont reply to requests for my old details login etc and as far as the account creation goes BUGGED TO HELL!! Gah I'll stick to playing games i know work and support means SUPPORT.

    The self-help only support for free players sucks.

    I think you can get around it since it's an account issue by contacting Turbine account support instead of DDO support though.

    Just a quick response ....

    No there isn't . For some totally bizarre reason you can't recover your Login Handle.....you can recover your password which is totally useless IF YOU DONT HAVE YOUR LOGIN!   3 days from my email AND ticket to Turbine no response. Anyways last post on the subject for me. I have more reliable games to play with prompt game support and NOTE.........I can recover my login on those games.
