new motherboard problem

got a new motherboard but for some reason its reading the dvd burner as a floppy any ideas?

any help woul be great, can't install the drivers and what not taht came with the new motherboard since it can't use the dvd burner. its in and working now the only problem is the dvd burner.

    If your internet works, then you can download the driver.

    You can check whats up in the BIOS.  You might need to change a setting their for it to work.  It should be detected as a DVD drive right off the bat.

    yeah i got it, i just had to move it down a few slots, it has like 6 sata ports counting the one in the back. moved it down to the first slot and picked it up right away.
