P4 2.6 GHz @ 3.2 GHz, 2 GB DDR 400, Nvidia 6800 GT 256 MB.
I only ran across a few graphical glitches within the world maps and some overlay issues with a few minor areas within the game world. Overall lag was insignificant but was fairly noticable in large scale battles.

Athlon XP 2500+
512 DDR PC2700 ram
256mb Ge-Force 6800 GT
I get great FPS but when I enter large city (especially Ironforge) I get huge freeze and lot of Hard Drive reading, I feel like I don't have enough ram, it's my next buy.
I was wondering if any of you could tell me if I'll be able to play the game without any problems. I'm a little illiterate when it comes to this sort of thing. I think I have most of the specs down though.
1.4 AMD processor
512 DDR Ram
My graphics card is out of date though. It's a....
GeForce2 MX/MX 400
Will I be able to play the game without lag using this graphics card? I know it supports 3D. Just don't know how well.
If you turn all your graphics down to minimium you should be able to play WoW. I can't say you'll be playing it well but it is runable. Try to stay out of LArge Battles and area's with A LOT of people. If you upgrade your graphics card you should be able to play ok... I'd say next upgrade ram and finally the cpu. The firs tupgrade for quick results, the second for inexpensive result, and the third for long term result.
Hope this helps...

timmytwist : you may look at it this way, IMO
CPU : Will get you the best performance boost, RAW fps, but is also the most expensive one (because often a motherboard swap is required). The better benefit would be to ease the navigation in areas with a lot of people and battle.
Memory : If you get more of it, you'll avoid some freeze when entereing huge areas / cities, crowded areas, etc.. and you'll be able to ALT-TAB, more easily, but IMO memory would be the last thing I'd upgrade on your system.
Video Card : This would get you a performance boost on FPS too, but IMO not as much as a CPU upgrade would, because WoW engine isn't as recent as EQ2 is for exemple witch use all kind of new graphic technology ;the more the graphic engine is recent, the more you need good videocard. *Just a quick bracket about that, I saw people upgrading from ge-force2, to radeon 9800 to get better fps at counter-strike, and they got little to NO gain at all. A better graphic card will not always get you better frames, always take your game's engine age into consideration.
Furthermore, I don't think investing 100-150$ on a videocard would be worth it, consider a bit more like 200-250$, you could get something really interesting, like a 6600gt for exemple (think about selling your GF2 for like 20bucks maybe, that could help..
) In fact, considering how great a 6600gt is for the price, I'm deeply convinced upgrading you're video card for it would be the best bang for the buck you could have. (If you're thinking about buying something under this, like a Ge-Force 5200 maybe.. I'd advice keeping my money instend)
umm ya, im pretty sure 6600gt is a PCI card, if he bought that he would have to buy a new motherboard and processor, just pick up a geforceFX 5700 256, i got my Gainward for about 140 i think a couple of months ago, wow ST ran perfect on it heres the specs
amd athlon xp1500+, FX 5700 256mb, 1gb kingston hyperx ddr, crappy DFI MB with only a 4x AGP, like i said it ran wow stress test just fine! now.. heres specs on my new pc
amd athlon64 3200+ OC to 2.4ghz, Gainward 6800gt 256mb golden sample, same ram, and Asus k8n-e motherboard, with dual western digital raptor HDs 74Gb 10k rpm
i cant wait to try out WoW again!
Namehater- Hate my name? ya me too, to bad all the good ones were taken!
Athlon 64 3000+, ATI 9600XT, 1GB Ram, 10k drives - no lag for me
Pentium III 1.0GHz, 512 Ram (most board will support)(PC133), GeForce 4 Ti4600, Cable modem. With mostly everything turned down almost 0 lag everywhere I went. Cable connection
dougfrippon : thanks so much for the help!
I guess I'll take my chances right now with the video card and ram then. I'll probably update those later.
I think I'll take your advice and upgrade the CPU first. My system was built four years ago. A motherboard and CPU upgrade is probably needed anyways. Mine is starting to go bad. Sometimes my computer starts to boot up and promptly shuts right back off. The only way I can get it to turn back on is by flashing the bios. So I was thinking of upgrading the motherboard and CPU anyways. Any suggestions on what I should buy? I know it's gonna cost me a little bit of money so don't worry about prices if u suggest something.
PCI card? whoa man, that card exist as AGP as well... and ain't crap like Ge-Force 5 were. :P.

Timmy : About the CPU/Mobo combo, you're more likely to need your RAM to be changed as well, because you're current DDR isn't probably fast enough to follow a brand new system. As for the advice on that, it depends directly on the budget you want to put on it. At minimal fees I'd go for a AMD 2600+ (or something near that), with 512 PC3200 (2x256mb for the dual channel), and a low priced mobo... More money you could tweak your budge like 25-40% and go for Athlon 64. and maybe 2x512ram (1gig). If you're US resident try finding good deals on pricewatch.com. P4 ain't bad too, it's all a choice question.
Good thing you could do : try upgrading for the lowest priced motherboard/CPU/memory combo as possible, and maybe you could afford yourself a 6600gt. That whole combo would make your system EXTREMELY more powerful. But ohwell.. at that point you've changed nearly all the computer.. :P (but again don't forget you can sell your old stuff)
Hope that helps
Helped extremely. Thanks again doug. One more question. Are you in the beta right now? I wouldn't mind having someone show me a few things when I actually get to play this game. If you are playing, are you horde or alliance?
Pentium 4 1.5ghz, 512mb ddr ram, geforcefx5200 256mb video agp card
Only lagged shortly before or after server crashes, or when Blizzard forced everyone on 6 servers.

Well I've been playing a good while until last week. One of my friend was sharing me his account but now he decided he was tired of me playing so much on it, lol. He changed his password and he doesn't want to tell me
Oh, and I play (or should I say, "was playing") a human warrior, currently level26
I played Closed Beta and I had an Athlon 1Ghz with 512ram and a GForce MMX 440
game ran fine but no Anti Aliasing and settings at mid range.
I upgraded to an Athlon 64 3200 and an ATI 9800 pro 128.
... I can't wait to see how it will perform with my new toy
Judging from how well FarCry runs with it, I'm thinking I shouldn't have any problems jacking up the details. I got an ASUS K8N-E Deluxe motherboard by the way.. the built in firewall on that thing is quite unstable ... to anyone else with that mobo, I recommend turning it off.
