Darkfall is a really messed up game atm.
Imo the forum is fine the way it is, you wouldn't see all the "whining" if AV came through on their promises that they made over the last eight years.
I feel bad for all the people that wasted 50 bucks on DF.

they probably "whine" here since anything negative posted over on the darkfail forums gets moderated out of existence. your best bet is to discredit the "whiners" with "facts" that haven't been pre-approved by tasos or come up with something snazzy yourself that doesn't read like a press release. try it sometime, it is probably funner than playing the game.

Actually, if you really look at the threads here, NO game is good enough according to your logic. Everyone has wasted their money.
I seriously doubt you feel bad for anyone who has tried DF...no offense but that's just a condescending remark attempting to put yourself on a pedestal of self-righteousness.
There's whining everywhere, not just here. It's also far from being accurate. I've tried DF, and found it's not my cup of tea, but look at my posts to date. Nowhere will you see a trolling post for DF.

Sorry if you aren't a habitual troll, but even the games that aren't 'messed up' atm are still getting kicked and smacked around for insignificant reasons. We can't even see trolling or personal opinion anymore it's so flooded with black energy in these forum threads.

Ans yes I do feel sorry for anyone who spends cash on such a hacker fill PoS like DF.
Games like AoC and DF are the reason I wait for trials, I refuse to waste good hard earned cash on garbage.

There should be two new forums:
One forum for "darkfall whiners" to complain about the game and AV, and one for "darkfall fanbots" to praise clicking at each other and trade hacking secrets.

Seeing as there has been no trial for DF... were you one of those who wasted their money? Or one of those enlightened creatures who loves to talk trash about games they've never played?
I can take any 'rough' criticism you can dish out. It's the blatant, ignorant garbage you spew out I dislike. If you've tried DF than you can maybe sympathize with those who've tried it. By deduction you haven't since you "wait for trials" as you've said. So, you have absolutely no ground nor knowledge of what you speak, just regurgitating what you've read or heard about.

Both actually. I was smart enough to not buy a client yet I played through the last two weeks on a buddies account he abandoned.

Calm down whisperwynd. When someone says they feel sorry for so and so in that context it doesn't mean they actually feel horribly on a personal level. It's a saying and I'm not sure how to explain it to you other than using an example so here goes. Say for instance your watching the superbowl and a team loses a crushing defeat and they show the faces of the absolutely devostated players that lost...you say "I feel sorry/bad for those guys".

I'm not as 'upset' as you might think. I wrote that quite calmly and as eloquently as I could. 'Feeling sorry' for someone has two meanings, one positive and sympathetic, the other sarcastic.
As the rest of the post wasn't in the empathy side of things, I concluded it was the other. Also, given this site, heart felt commiserations aren't the norm.
Thank you for the explanation, though I do believe it is you that needs a little more research in language, as you have to take the whole conversation in context, not just one post to see what I was implying. You are probably trying to help, and if so, I sincerely thank the gesture, but my post and its intent stand as what I perceived was the poster's intentions. Instead of clarifying it, he went down the same linnear path of intention of his original post.

If you havent figured out by now that MMORPG.com is mostly trolls in some form or another then perhaps you should go to the official Darkfall message board where praising the game is not only very common its mandatory.
Despite the numerous problems with AV and Darkfall, I feel that every penny spent on the game was well worth it and I am enjoying the game so far nearing 2 months. It has been the most exciting game that I have played and I will continue to support AV to the end. They just need to listen to their customers and make fixes to their game mechanics and the attitude towards Darkfall will become more positive. However, trolls persist in their efforts in making the game look bad and exaggerating the cons. This negativity will keep happening even if AV fixes their game I believe.
Of course it will (the negativity part). It's sad to say, but it's human nature.
Even though I don't play DF anymore, I'm glad you find it interesting enough to play. I also don't regret spending my money on it as it satisfied my curiosity about it more than any review site or videos could.
