The perfect MMO?

madeuxmadeux Member Posts: 1,786

Describe your ideal MMO.

What features will it have?

What features will it definitely NOT have?

How large is the world?

What kind of time commitment is required?

PVP?

Solo vs. Group?

Ability of players to do things that change the game world. The more things players can change, the better. Control territory, open or close dungeons, build dungeons, tunnels, or destroy them, build cities, siege engines, open new classes or close them, give citywide or realm or world wide new abilities to certain classes of characters, or take them away, construct collossal structures taht give your realm or city huge advantages like the 7 wonders of the world, all guilds have monthly votes for guild leader, and you can't change that feature, skill based system where you earn skill points and spend them however you like but there are caps, and best items in the game are crafted, weapons and armor degrade and must be repaired and are sometimes destroyed, grouping is required to get ahead, or you can solo at about 1/2 the pace of grouping.

Im one of the rare people who wants a game with noth good PvE and a good sandbox experience.  There is no reason other than maybe resources that this cant happen.

Also, my dream is to be in a guild that controls land and builds their own castle and city and defends it with warefare without the game mechanics being a stupid gankfest.

Non Linear questing. Smart AI. Loads of ways to gain levels. Public quests (Yes, like in WAR) Living guilds too.

    Very large world.

Medium time requirment for the casual player.

    Good RVR.

Ability to solo but forced groups in some ways.

I would just like to add another thing : Everyone has heared it on these forums but there is no such thing as a perfect MMO. I guess it is okay hear in this thread because its "Your" fav mmo :)

    Fixed!

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience"

Smoosh EVE and SWG (Pre-CU) together and you have a pretty tasty parcel.

It would be pretty awesome to be able to have huge space fights over the right to claim planets that you could then explore on foot and gather resources from to feed the empire of your evil corporation.

Just leave the Jedi at home.
