Is this processor compatible?

in Hardware

So I have an Asus P5K LGA775 INTEL p35 ATX motherboard.  I was curious is a Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16 Ghz LGA775 65W 1333 Mhz FSB would work with it.

    Yes, it will work fine. Both run at 1333mhz buss. 8MB max memory on it...

    5 harddrives (or SATA CDRom) + 2 IDE ports.

    Ok choice, only comment is that the intergrated soundcard aint that great. A creative X-fire or something to it if you plan to use the computer to listen to .mp3s on or have it connected to your stereo.
