Not able to select 1680x1050 in dx9 with nvidia 9800gx2

Hello everyone,

I'm posting here in the hope someone can help me with this.

I own an Nvidia 9800GX2 and a 20" inch lcd flat panel.

My problem is that I'm unable to select my native LCD resolution of 1680x1050 under DX9. The maximum wide screen res I can play at is 1440x900.

To my surprise, when testing DX10 test version, 1680x1050 is eligible and visible to select.

I even tried to go to DX10, select 1680x1050, quit the game, use simpleconfig to select DX9 without touching resolution but it didn't work as the resolution gets changed automatically.

Can anyone please help me find out the root of the problem and correct the issue?

 i dont know about AoC, but i used to have this problem with other games when i had a 27" monitor with a weired resolution of 1280x720, in most of the games i had to go to the config file and input it manually. exp: BF2, ElderScroll etc...
