My own view on the game
OZ WORLD
Years ago, most of the MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online) game developers gave up and decided to clone the most popular beast of MMO’s. I think you have worked out to which game I’m referring to. However, there was one game that decided to stand apart, and give people another path to follow. That game is Oz World.
The makers of Oz World took a step back and said to themselves, “why do people seek out MMO’s?” Their answer was simple. Communication. People login to MMO’s to communicate with other people from all around the world. Unfortunately it seems most of the other MMO’s all fell into the trap of throwing those players against each other, creating a very hostile and competitive environment. This actually hurts the ability to communicate in a friendly way. Oz World fixes this with its friendly approach to gaming. There is no PK (player killing), so there’s no need to watch your back when you go to get your coffee.
The heart of the game is to find people to chat with from all over the world. You are encouraged via bonuses to party with these people, and your pastime is to go fishing with them around the Oz World itself. Together you create strong bonds of friendship, while fishing for fun and selling those fish to gain wardrobe items for your character. This allows you to focus on what you really want. To immerse yourself in an online world full of people who want you to be there, want you to share your time with them, want to share their time with you.
The community as such is open and welcoming to all newcomers, and long bonds have formed for the veterans which have lasted for years already. Oz World caters to whatever you prefer. If you like to chat, there are people from all around the world waiting to talk to you. If you like to craft, there is a deep mixing system waiting for you to play with, that rewards you for your efforts. Prefer to just fish? Look no further.
Content patches are released regularly in the game; spicing things up so you never get that tired boring feeling some other MMO’s give off due to lack of new content.
There is no competition in the game between casuals to hardcore players, meaning you can play as little or as much as you want and as your time dictates. Meaning you are completely free. No heavy burdens placed on you just to keep up with the crowd.
The game has a cash shop with various clothing and other items that are considerably cheaper then you’d expect to find in other MMO’s; who seem to enjoy overcharging their players for items. Speaking of items, there are 100’s of fashion items to choose from for your character ensuring that you will never look the same as another person in-game. Fighting off that clone feeling most MMO’s suffer from. You will be the individual you wish to be.
There are always fun and exciting things to do in Oz World. GM’s host weekly events, and players host their own events too. Meaning everyday has something new made up by the game’s own playerbase. No 2 days are the same in Oz World.
The strongest bonds found in Oz World are the friendships formed. It’s also quite common for relationships to bloom due to the connections people make in-game. The game also boasts an in-game marriage feature and the ability to buy your own home.
If you are tired of all the clone MMO’s out there. If you wish you could find a game where the majority of the players are not angry kids being babysat online. If you want somewhere you can go and relax and just chat and have fun. Then Oz World is the place for you. Give it a go, you will not be disappointed.
