anybody else having problems with the trial?

when i launch the game it will come up to the loading screen where i see the FLS plane and white background but then my entire comp freezes

In you documents you will find a Pirates of the burning sea folder - try delete the perfs & then start the game again, also check the log folder for the last thing it was doing before the freeze.

click on the file of pirots where ever it is and click on  run as administator.
