I take my resentment for the Core i7 back. I didn't notice in the last week that the Core i7 920 dropped in price from $600 to below $300. At that price there is no reason to even get a Core 2 based CPU.
It's been $229 at Micro Center for about a month now.

i7= Not any better with single card setups for GAMING. Overall it is better than its predecessors however it is also much hotter
NOTE TO ALL - Stop buying overpriced high end processors and just safely overclock your processors, save yourself hundreds if not thousands of dollars, and buy more cowbell.
