I usually don´t rant that much, but my guess is that those of you who do play TCoS
do have the same gripe as me with it.
The Respawn Rate on many MOB / NPC-Spots is Hell!
Especially if you´re trying to fight your way through an Ousted Camp, or Cave somewhere.
You kill the first group of 4 or 5 NPCs.
Get on to the next and just while you´re at it and down half your HP, the former group
respawns right behind you and happily joins the fray and hacks you to pieces.
I´ve never played an MMO this frustrating, even for groups of three to four.
It does definitely have it´s ups, in form of the neat fight system and very creative Quest Dialogues and such,
but the respawn rate, which oftentimes makes it nearly impossible to get what you want,
even after 6-10 attempts at it is one of the most vexing things i´ve encountered yet in an MMO.
I really like the world and it´s nice and fresh approach on some aspects of the business, but
if any patch in the nearer future doesn´t change this hellishly frustrating fact, I´ll be off the game.
The fact that it´s very near impossible to master even the boss of the second solo-instance,
at least for me, is a huge disappointment too, adding to my frustration.
I tried him at lvl 14, as it´s supposed to and failed. (got one hited by the boss)
I tried at lvl 16, and failed... (one hit again)
Yesterday I tried again, lvl 22... well I survived about a minute and then went splatt...
So, I´m asking myself, why do I even bother to do this otherwise really interesting Questline anymore,
if the reward is long useless to me? I´ve since been rewarded far better Sigils for less hard Missions.
And even with these I´m not able to kill this boss...
Ok, I´m not that good at moving and fighting admittedly, but at least a chance would be nice!
I´ll try and do it for the nice lore I might get upon completition. But well...
that won´t change the fact that this solo Instance is seriously imbalanced in my book.
If others don´t think so and did beat this guy, congratulations!
You´re my heroes!

Try grouping up for it if it's so challanging solo. I seem to recall hearing that some things are designed for players to require groups.
You should note he said it was a solo instance. Grouping doesn't seem like a good suggestion
"The Respawn Rate on many MOB / NPC-Spots is Hell!

He mentions a solo boss, but he also mentioned much more than that. Unless there are ousted camps and caves somewhere all within this one cave of the 2nd solo instance? Read more before you post.
Besides, if it were just a solo instance that was too challanging, a single player complaining could just be a sign that the single player sucks. Not that I'm saying this fellow does or doesn't, just that I don't see a plethora of threads on the topic of that instance.
They have already annouced on the official site that "adjustments" to the respawn rate are going to be part of the next patch coming early February. Together with fixes for bugged quest, including High House Quests, a new tutorial, a new group instance and open world mini bosses plus hunting quests.
I agree that respawn rates are a tad too high, but I really hope they don't swing the pendulum too much to the other side. One of the cool aspects of TCOS is that the game is quite a challenge.
Hey, hey fellows !
Don´t get all heated because of me complaining a bit
As I said, I´m not very good at fighting in Spellborn, yes. Not used to this system, but I´m practicing
And I do like the challange, but as I said too some spots are even hard to do with a group of 3 or 4.
And that´s whats bothering me most.
That some things are not meant to be taken on all by yourself is ok with me, but while playing I
sometimes had to experience us simply being overwhelmed by the sheer number of MOBs/NPCs,
because of the high respawn rate.
It´s really quite frustrating for 4 players (all MMO Veterans I might add) to to get halfway into a cave,
(say for example the one in Hogsridge) fight your way halfway through beasts and bandits into the
small labyrinth at its end, only to be completely mashed by respawns that occur all too frequently,
because there was almost no time to regenerate.
Or for two players, to try and get into the Ousted camp in Glasspool on Ringfell....
now that´s a challange if ever there was one.
Running over the bridges, encountering the first guards, fighting them, being surprised by a patrol coming of the first adjoining bridge, fighting them too. Killing the first Guards, keeping on fighting the patrol, another patrol comes from the second bridge, breaking asweat, just soooo killing the all members of the first patrol, fighting the second patrol characters, already down to about 10% HP, Guards respawn!
(About two minutes after we killed them)
Yay, we die!
This happend 6 times in a row, then we got lucky and a group of three higher level players happened upon us and joined our effort, coming from the other side of the bridges. Whew.... Thanks guys...
They later told us that they had serious trouble at this particular junction too before and just made it by running away.
I realy hope it won´t be all too easy, after the patch, but I too hope it will have at least an effect thats "tangible" and will give us at least a fighting chance.
