Hey, I heard that the races in this game ara unbalanced. That elves can start flying at level 1 and they have more advantages than the other races, and so most players choose Elves. Is that true?

Hmm I don't think so. Flying doesn't really matter early on anyway and once you get to level 30 (which isn't that far from 1) you get to fly anyway. While the archers have huge attack power they are pretty weak in defense along with clerics. They drop really fast from normal mobs and even faster if they let a melee class player in pvp get close.
yeah, winged elves are prety week and can't attack from the air. Therefore it's about even. untamed can turn into animals at lvl 9 and venomancers can have pets as well, but it evens out somewhere. I've tried every race. I love them all.
Clerics can attack lower levelled mobs from the air easily. It's all about knowing the right combos... I just love this game!
LOl i so need to screenshot this post and put it over on the official PW forums. Every other post on there is how the Venomancers are soooo Overpowered and ruining the game.
Really every class has advantages and disadvantages. One of the things I liked about this game is that they really gave each class something that made them unique that no other class has. Everything is pretty well balanced.
The rest just comes down to player skill.

lol at veno's being overpowered. The few good veno pets don't have ranged attacks and for the most part in pvp you just run past a veno's pet and attack the veno directly and its over. I'd love to see what dummies attacked the pet first (which are just big tanks).
The point being, the Venomancer class outlevels all the other classes. The difference is huge. Besides no one with one iota of brain cells pvp's in this game, it is all about who has the better charm.
This game is strictly for pve.
My perspective of the Venomancer Class is this:
I've been playing PWI since closed beta. My Veno is lvl 69 atm and she's been my main up until recently. I play on the Heavens Tear server which is PVE and I've seen my fair share of TWs. Venos are only overpowered in respect to PVE and are the only class which finds itself accomplishing the tasks and quests with ease. As for the PVP aspect of the Veno... well... let's just say they are, at the very best, a support class and so badly overpowered by every other class that PVP is a nightmare for Venos against any decent player. They have one chance in PVP to stun their opponent before they find themselves running for thier lives while their pet impotently hurries to follow. This is 1 on 1 PVP I refer to. In team PVP such as in TW they are a tolerated class and really unnecessary to any PVP team. They have no skill which cannot be replaced by another class yet they can contribute significantly in fox form with the debuff and damage amplifier so long as the battle has already been engaged and they are not the primary target of the opponent team.
At about lvl 65 Venos become the oddball in any team makeup and no matter what faction you're in, the only thing you'll ever be needed for are the FBs and all-class pets so you'll spend all of your time getting exp for your lower members and collecting eggs for whining status seekers who can't live without a tagalong, useless pet. Nobody else cares about your leveling at all unless it's to run yet more dungeons as a puller in Twilight Temple so that they can gather their forge items and you will feel more like a servant to your faction mates rather than a member. You can forget about Zhen Parties as well unless you have a mount and even then you can't really participate... All in all the Venomancer is the biggest disappointment of the game if you expect to be involved in anything to do with your faction on a team level. Even a level 3 faction with a full complement of members requires only enough venos to get the FBs done for the up and coming damage dealers and clerics... 7 or 8 would suffice.
Of course the races are unbalanced as this is the intention of the devs to deepen the teamplay aspects of the game which we really don't need to worry about unless doing FB Dungeons, TT or TW itself. Venos are there only to lure the mobs by summoning/unsummoning their pets to avoid social aggro and are, as I said above, completely replaceable in any PVP instance. The rest of the classes are simple enough and self explanatory as to their respective roles in teams and each has significant areas of weakness and vulnerability which can be overcome by their teamates if everyone is paying attention and the tactics are practiced and skills honed.
Ask any Veno out there who is in a large faction that has it's name up on the TW map holding territories and you will hear the very same complaints from most, if not all, of them. The Veno is a fun class to play without a doubt, but, it's validity and value to teamplay is minimal despite being more than adequate in almost every aspect of PVE. It's truly laughable that players complain that Venos are "ruining the game" since the truth is more along the lines that "the game is ruining the Venomancer". It truly is frustrating to be relegated to being the "babysitter" class and finally enslaved inside TT while getting absolutely ZERO respect from anyone other than your fellow suffering Venomancers.
Perhaps for the casual player it is PVE. For those who insist upon participating in TW, which is the heart of the entire game itself, PVP is what it's all about regardless of which server you play on. The charms are completely annoying, imho, and are there to suck as much money into the cash shop as possible and that's fine. Open PVP servers are insane because of these charms and, agreed, PVE servers are the best way to go unless you enjoy the sado/masochistic aspects of PVP.
I disagree that PVP is "all about who has the better charm" though. If you know your skill requirements and work diligently to gather the proper skills and gear and learn how to use them to best effect, the charms have very little to do with who wins in PVP. Surviving PVP is all about who knows their builds and subscribes completely to following successful tactics. If you wear a charm and it "ticks"... you better fix your build, your tactics, your skills or all of the above in 1v1 PVP. Assuming equal levels at any rate.

Without giving too much of my secret Identity away. Most of this is true. I actually play on a lvl 85 venomancer. And for the most part we are used as slaves. Good case in point, I havent been on the game in a little over a week as I playing Zhu Xian. I start getting emails from my guildies, not saying they miss me persay or asking how im doing or where I been, but asking me to come back because they need TT runs done.. yeah lol pretty much all we are used for.
The only exception to this for me is TW's. I am in one of the 3 main land holder guilds. Every TW we have Im in it and usually on the main attack team, so I see alot of action. Have to say I am treated fairly and someone of importance when it does come to TW's. The rest of the gameplay Im only wanted when someone needs a lurer or TT done lol.
But back to the original topic another thing I forgot to mention is that even though elves can fly from lvl 1. If they are flying and attacking mobs on the ground they only do 50% damage and this holds true for pvp as well. So flying doesnt give them any advantage besides maybe getting around faster.

Lol Ozmodan don't shun the game because you don't know how to manage or make money and therefore can't buy charms. That's your fault not the game's. Everyone knows there's 2 guidelines to pvp in any mmorpg. If you want to be successful you either have to:
A: Have alot of money
or B: Have invested alot of time into the game so you're either a very high level or have lots of knowledge of tactics to win
There's a third option too which is to just join a good guild, but right now I'm talking about the individual.
Why jump into a pvp only server if you didn't know that?
Its not like there's 50 different kinds of charms you can buy anyway. There's 3 levels with the highest costing around 300k of in-game money or like 3 bucks in real life.
the only thing i really like about elves is that you can fly :P i have a lvl 13 cleric i'm starting to get bored of it in terms of attacks... there's not a class/race that i haven't tried and didn't like TOO much :P just some i prefered over others.
ok, my theory on the Veno is this, If you're playing TW or against agressive high level mobs, your dead. Your pet can distract one while you attack it, but after a while, one of them will get to you. Usually it's not a long wait after that until your dead. Veno's are for solo and 1 on 1 low health is made up for by a pet distraction, but your dead as soon as something gets through.
You are kidding right? I mean come on, get a battle pet and veno's rule pvp. They literally own it in fact.
In fact don't even bother to TW if you faction does not have some veno's with battle pets, you are just wasting your time.
