Thruthfully, though, I have had my suspicions about this for a long time. I guess this article is affirmation.

Sheesh... did you all not get the memo?

Female mmo gamers still as likely to slap you in the face if you try to talk to them as their non-mmo gamer counterparts.

If you go to the actual original article here, you can see this is an extremely poor study. As far as I can tell, it has not been published in any peer reviewed journal. The methods under which the study was conducted are not revealed, so it is impossible to say if it was done in a scientific manner.

I believe the method used involved a couple nerds in a basement and  research consisting of asking "Hey, Mom! What do you think of girls who play online games?".

Even if the study was improperly done, this might open more research into the subject. If you want real studies about people and MMOs, try here: http://www.nickyee.com/daedalus/

MMOs Played: I can no longer list them all in the 500 character limit.

The Inernet and video games are no longer some male drinking club.

I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

Almost all the males pretending to be females that i've met online claimed to be bisexual females. As they usually also pick the sexiest female outfits for their chars I don't mind as it gives me something nice to look at while i'm playing.

On the other hand geeky girls i've known irl have usually been pretty adventurous so who knows.

You didn't get the memo? Nah, men can't have anything be exclusive to themselves anymore, not even hobbies. It was the 1990s, remember. All men are guilty of keeping women down in some way, and if not...well, guilty by association.

"The participants, who were recruited directly out of the game, completed a web-based questionnaire about their gaming habits and lifestyles. They received an in-game item as a reward for taking part - a condition which has led to some questioning of the results. "

Hehe... I'm sorry ... this makes the poll about as accurate as... MMORPG.com's rating system.
