alternate patching?

i recently bought the new L2 box and installed it, yet i am having problems patching the game in order to play. I have high speed cable internet but the patcher just crawls and often disconnects. My question is, is there another way to get all the patch files from another source other than the L2 patcher? Bit torrent perhaps? It just sucks because i have to "baby-sit" the patcher since I'm always getting "connection to patch server terminated".
