Microtransactions in VG?

Hello.

You may have heard about this: http://stationblog.wordpress.com/ EQ1 and EQ2 becomming microtransaction games. In Smedleys blog he suggests that this is the future for SOE.

Has anyone heard anything about VG getting these sorts of Microtransactions?

Probably not VG or any of the other lesser subscribed MMOs. Seems like they're merely retrofitting the Everquests, and mainly want to use this going ahead with the Agency, DC Universe and Free Realms possibly.

I think where John Smedley is concerned , nothing is Immune ... judging by this guys track record he would sell his own Grandmother to make a fast buck !

From what I could see in the last few months since I come from EQ2 this game seems relatively autonomous.

Don't think that Smedley has a direct hold on it. I hope a nonsense like that wil not reach Vanguard because this is the last hope for a challenging MMO.

However I advise you to keep your eyes open, I will cancel and retire of MMOs at the first sign that some outrageous crapp like this hits Telon; I am already suspicious after that "easy mode" Isle of Dawn, lets hope it stops in there.

I would pay 1000 a month if I can seamlessly cross chunk lines without stuttering, pausing, and crashing to desktop....comeon SOE you can do it....
