Can you port out of the mines?

I've read rumors that once you're in the mines, you can't, say, port back to Bree or map back to your binding point.  The only way to get back to those places is to exit the mines, which might be a chore if you're somewhere in the middle.  Is there any truth to that?

Never heard of this rumor and i have read most of the stuff written about MoM... Dont think you have to worry about this since it would be a really stupid move by Turbine!
