well i downloaded the trial tonight, signed up, installed all ready to go

 

Except I can even log in..why?

Well anyting between 5-10 seconds after teh intro has played and i am prompted to enter the code my PC locks up, only game that does it...tech support useless as everytime i try to log a tech fault it keeps saying i need to create an account, i give my accouint details and it says account already exists..

 

so any suggestion on how i can get into teh game?

I'm kinda confused where you're at. It is locking up at the login screen? You mean right after it plays the DG and NCSOFT logo vids?

yes, right after the intro movie

it asks me to insert my log in details

Sometimes i can get the first 3 letters of my name in, other times it freezes right away

Oh, I would say turn off 16x AA. Be sure you aren't forcing AA on in your driver settings -- that breaks the game. You have to turn on AA from within the options screen in the game. Be sure all driver settings are default for TR and if you are still having problems, make sure you have the latest driver. Give that a whirl...

Might try this thread see if it helps. Other than that I would just say same as always make sure your drivers are up to date and there was an august redist of directx which may/may not  help. www.microsoft.com/directx

hmm my Nvidaea menus have changed and i cant remember how to force off AA

The DX helped a little, it works until i inset my details then it crashes

 hmm do i have to have DX10? if so that explains it, my PC cant run DX10..

lol annoying as heck and i really wanna check this out

I would suggest going to PlanetTR and joining that site. Then post in their tech section. You are likely to get all the help you need there. Much more likely than here as the TR community is really centered on that site.

I wouldn't know on Nvidia. I have used ATI for awhile so I couldn't even tell you where to start looking on the Nvidia menus.

If you do find it and it still doesn't work I'm all out of ideas. Goodluck, I hope you get it working to test the game out.

Let us know how it turns out! Maybe someone else will chime in with some helpful ideas.

Try changing the TR.config file before you even start the game.

Locate the display / video section of the config and play with settings.

 

That always works with just about any PC game. Just find the config and play with video settings.
