You have to buy a US copy of the game if you want on the US servers.   Or an Oceanic version since Oceanic has access to their own servers and US servers

Haha, well, not really true. Only game that I've encounterd loads of spamming russians were Age of Conan.

I truly hope they won't invade WAR aswell and spam general chat with their kryllic crap. (Speak English, jees..)

yea have friends buying the us version for me.. just hoping they don't do IP bans/block

I doubt they will institute IP blocks. If they did I would think Asia might be more likely to keep down the gold sellers (some at least).

I would check first to be sure but in the Daoc days I think they locked out the EU players from the US (at least legally) by requiring them to sign up with a US adress. This due to their retarded deal with GOA.

Seeing we're dealing with GOA again I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same deal again and officially EU players would be forced to play EU again or lie about their data.

U know what? It's not better if u're from Russia, cause u can actually understand what they're typing, and 65-75% of that just screams - "censor me! oh, and ban the user!", even if all that was on a russian server...

Dunno if language is clearer with other "overruners", but it's not like all russians are enjoing those chat takeovers.

p.s I just remembered one game I played in WC3. The dialog went like that:

    -U from?

    -rus

and the rest of the "dialog" (or rather monolog) looked like he was trying to achive record on amount of "mature" words said during one game

    Hey folks.

I generally agree with the OP.   However as far as I am aware the servers support and infrastructure have been moved to ireland.  This means 2 things:

They are on a main net pipe and out of open transit.

They dont have the very strict french emplyment laws.

    We shall see what happens.
