Class question

Paladins:

Can they be as good of a tank as warrior?

Can they heal as well as a priest?

In a raid, what position would their dps come?

Ofc I mean if they're properly specced and geared.

Are they good for PvE and PvP?

They just seem like instead of actual attack moves, they just have self buffs? Is this just the first 10 levels?

What talent path should I take for a dps?

 

Server question:

What is the newest server?

how many new servers are there going to be for wotlk?

are there no 40 man raids coming out?

I rolled a low pop server RPPVP 'Sporeggar' I think, what position is it in?

what raid are people on? PvP positions?

Yes.  I've been in raids with Paladins main tanking all the way up to Black temple and Hyjal.  [I've never been to sunwell]

Yes and no.  Paladins have their healing strengths and weakness.  Paladins make great healers in most cases.
In a raid, what position would their dps come?
This is my weakest area, so take it for what you will. A well played retribution paladin can do well.  Depending on the fight SOMETIMES top five, but most often 6-10 is normal out of 15 dps.

I'm no expert on PvP strengths, but I hear ret can be pretty dangerous.  I do lots of battlegrounds on my purely PvE healer paladin and do well enough.

You get seals/judgements an attack or two and some special moves, but nothing like more pure melee classes.  When you get higher levels you get more seals/judgements to work with for different fights.
What talent path should I take for a dps?
 Retribution.  Protection does pretty well for solo grinding though once you get the hang of it.

are there no 40 man raids coming out? All raids are 25 or 10 man now.
I rolled a low pop server RPPVP 'Sporeggar' I think, what position is it in?  Most servers have a thread on the official forums with raid progression and guilds.  I would check there assuming that is what you mean by position?
