    Ditto to that sir.

This is a great time, I'm very excited, it's Yoda's left nut versus Obama, this is just too good to be true. Very exciting times, we're finally going to exit the dark-ages after eight freaking bull-shite infested years.

    WOOT!!!

I'm going to PM this post to you in four years when Obama is busy running this country into the ground and taking away your civil liberties like you would have never even dreamed...and not the civil liberties that were robbed by the Patriot act, because we have all been strip searched and phone bugged right?

How can anyone be this excited about a closet socialist?  How can any American who values our way of life think that Obama would be good for this country?  Your vague and generic "I'm excited about a possible Obama administration" crap does not suffice here..

To be clear, I'm not excited about McCain, but I'll be damned if he's not a MUCH better choice than Obama...Yeah yeah, Yoda's left testicle and all of that other crap, I don't care how old the man is, I'll take a senile 112 year old for president who thinks that 4+4=chair  over someone like Obama.

If you smellllllllllll what the BARACK is cooking!!!! FOo put it in check before I Barack you!!!

Oh and yay to socialism!! I love Che and Chaviz.

Yay to socialism?  Then move to a socialist country.

If you want to stay here then learn to take care of your own damn self instead of turning to the government to solve your problems.  Grow some balls.

And that is the problem we have now as a Society. We want to be free but we want the government to do everything. Like with the whole Video Game Violence Issue. Its a parents responsibilty to monitor there children not the government but they are sure screaming at congress to do something about it. Its the nation that is doing this not the canidates or the politicians they are just trying to give you the people what you want.

I'm not voting for either of the two major parties either.  This election I'm voting for the Libertarian candidate Bob Barr.

I don't consider that a waste of my vote at all.  I feel that I'm making my voice heard loud and clear.

No, the problem now is that American's have been dumbed down to where they don't know how to take care of themselves.

I'm not screaming at Congress to do anything for me except leave me alone.  If I make a mistake somewhere then I'm more than willing to suck it up and learn from it.  Not go whining to the federal government expecting them to pick up the pieces and put my poor little life back together for me.

American's need to realize that with freedom comes responsibility.  And yeah, that responsibility is pretty scary sometimes, but not nearly as scary as having the government looking over my shoulder and digging in my pockets every time I turn around.

what you feel and what is actually being heard are seperated far and wide. Theodore Roosevelt i think so don't qoute me on this but i think is the only one who in the history of America even came close to winning as a independent canidate. The battle of Taft and Teddy.

I think America is about the worst off it's ever been right now and would gladly vote for someone who swings in the extreme opposite direction.

    I'm 26 years old.

My labor is worth next to nothing.

The cost of living is higher than it's ever been.

Pensions and Social Security are being cut and retirement ages are moving up.

I was robbed of the American Dream and I am very, very angry.

I'm really sick and tired of the "If you're not voting for Obama or McCain, then you're tossing your vote." No, I'm not "tossing" my vote, I'm voting for who "I" think is the better person to lead this country. It is after all MY CHOICE and MY VOTE, so if you can't stand people voting on their principles and their convictions for who they believe to be the better leader, then STFU! What? You can't respect other people's opinions? Trying to impose your will by telling people who to vote for is downright fascist! You might as well try to run for dictator, and if you don't believe what I'm saying, then by all means check out the so called "elections" in Iraq when Sadam was in power and see how he imposed his will to make sure he got "100%" of the votes in his favor. Am I using an extreme example here? Maybe so, but maybe it'll make you think twice before trying to impose your will on other people just because our "candidates won't win" I thought this was the land of the free and the land of free choice, WTF is wrong with people now a days?

Wasn't the role of the federal governement  suppose to be purly military. TO defend the states from enemies foreign and domestic.

Boy thats changed has it not? Most of these issues you folks speak of should be handled at the state level.

Now we have what has been what 40 years of democratic government inflation.

The dems cant even get their crap together in the house and senate. We have had sky high fuel prices starting when they took office, they have a less then what 11% approval rating.

I voted dem the last election and i voted for Clinton twice, I'm going republican this time around. Mc Cain is a moderate conservative ( yea tough to beat)  with a track record longer then most of the  excuses why Pelosi and Reid wont allow of shore drilling and Anwr. ( before you throw in the old, they have leased lands to drill, ask your self would you spend millions to drill where there is no Oil, of course not) Now they are on a 5 week  off thingy and still no deal in the works for off setting these high Global oil prices.

But hay good news we got three more post offices named this last week. And a tribute to the apple...

Why wont the dems allow a up or down vote on drilling? Cause they will lose, and if they don't they will lose in the next election for sure. Still cant believe the dems sunk so low as to use the Opera card... too bad that didn't even last long.

Increasing government doesnt seem so bad after having a tolatarian leader.  If you wanna fix everything wrong with america, you oughta start collective, but work your way towards decentralization.

Clinton...... i miss making more money under that man.....

my yearly year end bonus was HALF of the number they use to judge inflation..... and that bonus has gone down by SIX yes 6 percent under this administration, I just want to bring some more money into my own pockets and get this country out of the spot light for a year or 2.

Looking at his adult pastor, I'd say he hasn't changed too much.

If he felt that it was important enough in his adult life to put it into his own autobiography, then I'd say it's a fair judgement.  We're not talking about some random bit of information that somebody dug up, we're talking about something that Obama talks about freely in a book that he wrote himself.

As for this nonsense about how Democrats get elected and then fix the country and then the repubs F*** it up...HAH...really?  So that 9% approval rating of our democrat congress is because they're doing such a wonderful job of fixing the country right?  The circus that Pelosi is running needs to be put back into check by the American people.  How can anyone let this load of shit pass?  Delaying a vote until the day of their vacation and then walking out without voting on off shore drilling?  This is something that is going to help out our economy to a considerably degree, and they won't do it because they want to pander to environmentalists.  Yeah, those democrats do a wonderful job of fixing this country.

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

Who a person associates themself with is indicative of what that person believes...If you were a "christian" (in quotes because I do not believe that Obama is) and you had a pastor of 20 years, common sense would dictate that you share at least some of the beliefs of that pastor, and that you agree and like the overall message of the church.  Bush's past WAS examined, and he WAS attacked for his acts as a youth, and deservedly so...Why should Obama be free of examination?   He shouldn't be.

if you believe that "fighting for peace is like raping for virginity" then you are an idiot, pure and simple.  I shouldn't even have to explain this to an adult, or anyone over the age of ten for that matter.  You don't just get to be free from oppression, there is work involved, if you don't get that, then you are on some level of ignorance that i can't even begin to understand.

If you believe that we are doing the same thing that Al Qaeda is doing just under a different flag and God then you are...well...you are just wrong.  You're going to compare what America does to running planes into buildings and blowing eachother up on city streets?  Really though?  How can you even begin to say that these are the same things.

"arrogant, racist, super power"  He just has to throw racist in there doesn't he?  Whether or not you want to believe that America is racist is up for debate, but the race card doesn't even need to be in this statement...We're not a racist nation, you go to Japan and then come tell me what xenophobia is all about.

What history book do you read?  Democrats fix the economy?  Ha that is the most absurd thing I have ever heard.  Our Economy and our Government is going bankrupt because of Entitlements.  We can't afford Social Security, Medicare, etc.  These entitlements are hurting us alot.  What does obama want to do?  He wants to make them larger.
I'm British and I know atleast one time when the Republicans messed up the economy, booming 20s ring a bell? 1929 hit by the depression, who sorted it out? Democrats, Roosevelt was just a random president and got his fame for no reason? Right...

I don't have to call Wright a liar, I can call him a race baiting bigoted idiot and be more correct.

I was Raised catholic for 18 years of my life, and i think the bible is a collection of adult fairy tales, ive actually read the bible, however, and thats more then what most of these religious nuts can say. But it means very little. The guy can go listen to Wright speak and pick and choose what he agrees with,  Not everyone in society is a sheep that can automatically be forced into a group because they listened to someone else.

If you think peace can be attained through violence then you are an idiot, if you think this war right now has anything to do with peace, you are an idiot, if you think the reason america is in iraq right now, is to achieve peace, you are an idiot. You are american, you arent oppeerressed, how is going to another country, killing their leader and installing your belief and leadership system not the same as invading a fucking country. If you believe that at any point in this war or after it is finished someone is going to mutter the phrase, "Phew, we got em all, we have finally achieved peace! It will be nice to have no more terrorist." Then you, are an idiot. I can go into detail on that, if you feel the need to refute it. Btw, i still find it interesting how America morphed Osama Bin Laden, the guy who actually attacked your country, into Saddam Hussian, the guy who had nothing to do with it.

No, i dont think the USA is the same as AL Queda, actually, the USA is much much better, they have the UN behind them. They dont run planes into buildings, but they are the largest weapon supplier in the world next to korea, china and russia. And they are mostly to blame for these terrorist factions having the weapons they have. No, the US dont blow themselves up in the streets... neither do the guerillas in Sierra Leone, thats not the only thing that can make you a monster. The US peddlles death, it is no secret, they use pretty phrases like, well a few years back we tried to influence X freedom group to initiate a "Coup" against X government.

Do you wonder how these poor fucking countries, have some of the biggest miltary aresonals, you dont believe they have a weapons factory in sierra leone do you? Same way there are no Diamond mines in the US, yet  there is a lot of importance put on those rocks in the US,. America values, value. They worship money and nothing else, if you think they are in another country to help the country then you are wrong. Africa is in such bad shape, that  armys are run by kids, villages gun down left and right, and almsot every leader  makes Saddam Hussian look like Barney the fuckign dinosaur, but we arent over there liberating them. Thats because the us has more use for petrolium then diamonds at the moment.

Im quite certain he threw in terroist because... now i could be wrong, every news outlet called Barrack Obama a terriorist since the begining of his campaign, because when the planes went into the building, the country couldnt be bothered to seperate Arab, from indian so they rioted and killed them all, because every time there is a major conflict in the world the white people in america feel the need to attack, and segregate the diversity they pride themselves on, not only that but they always take their racial profiling to another fucking level and then pretend like it is nothing when it all dies down. White people have this established elitist mentality that flares up like herpes every now and then like an outbreak, and then they like to pretend it didnt happen after it is over. First with the indians, then black people, then japanese, then the mexicans, now the arabs. America has this documented trend, where they believe they an do whatever the fuck they want, in any country they want, and then act surprise when they have to wear Canadian flags when they go outside their country. I know quite a bit about Japanese culture, im quite certain they arent all Xenophobic, just the old chrones who are currently in power. But Japan has earned the express right to be as Xenophobic as they want, being the only country in the world to be hit by the only 2 nukes used in history, by the only country that has ever used a nuke.

But America isnt racist, no i am wrong, they arent currently trying to build a wall around  a country that has their poor, tired and hungry trying to make a better life for themselves try to migrate to the us. They dont hold entire cultures responsible anytime something happens overseas,  they dont live beisdes an Arab family for 40 years and then when the planes went down all of a suddent take it upon themselves too say that family isnt american anymore, You dont still have to fight tooth and nail for equality in america is you are any race by the superior one.

The reason you call him a race baiting bigoted idiot, is because you are probably white. Like i said, most blakc people will listen to him, and relate, not because some of tha racial stuff he said happened in the past, but happened to thema s recently as last week

America hasnt evolved into shit, they just put on an elaborate fascade, one that they dont even have to try to maintain anymore because people just know what to expect.

The war on terrorism primary objective is to attain peace, the same way the war on drugs main goal is to attain clean streets, I call the war on terror, Operation: Expand our influence, and the war on drugs, Operation: Over the Counter. Nothing america does is for the people, it all can be tied back to money being the primary factor. They arent heroes, though they like to pretend they are.

Tuskegee Syphilis Study - How this is any better then gassing your own citizen the way Saddam did, is something that i need explained to me in detail because i am too stupid. Just one of the many acts simply swept under the rug while they go on their elitst romp around the world.

Right...

If you honestly believe that Roosevelt solved the great depression in the US then I have some beach front property in Arizona to sell you.

The Great Depression in the US was solved by one thing and only one thing.  WW2.  We went from around 15%+ unemployment to around 4% when WW2 broke out.

Most of Roosevelt's "New Deal" legislation was deemed unconstitutional.  He even tried to bypass the Constitution by putting more Judges on the Supreme Court which was also blocked.

Roosevelt was not a good President.  He just happens to get good ratings by Liberal Academics and benefited from being President during WW2.   In reality Roosevelt was a Power Hungry liberal.

DO YOU really believe that Roosevelt did not solve the problem of the depression? Perhaps not permanantly in all cases but in a lot of cases the alphabet agencies did solve a lot of problems. So what if the New Deal was deemed unconstitutional? Depserate times call for desperate measures. if the whole of america is about to be wiped out but the only action you can take will be unconstitutional you wouldnt do it? That's just plain stupid. WW2 i cannot deny did solve some problems that the new deal would not have solved but you cannot deny he brought most americans out of poverty and he did take measures which helped the people and the economy recover who cares if it was unconstitutional?

No he didn't solve the Great Depression.   WW2 is the sole reason for the end of the Great Depression.

    As shown here:

The New Deal's Works Progress Administration (WPA) went into action in 1935.  Sure it dropped about 4-6% but then jumped back up by 5% points in 1938.  The US didn't enter single digit unemployment again until WW2 where the Wartime unemployment rate fell to roughly 1-2% and stayed that way after the war was over never entering double digits again.

    Year Unemployment (% labor force)
    1933 24.9
    1934 21.7
    1935 20.1
    1936 16.9
    1937 14.3

He didn't. War World II solved the great depression. War always ends a depression (hence, why you had Hitler going to war in the late 30s because they were experiencing a very bad depression due to sanctions against them from War World I.

Roosevelt did not solve the problem of the depression. The second world war did. That's not a republican or a conservative view point. That's common historical knowledge.

exactly, and the numbers dipped in 1936 dramatically because of an overseas joint effort in the country of china to build their infrastructure against Japan and other neighboring countries.  That joint effort created many jobs for the US in terms of overseas contrators.

Main reason why Japan attacked us in 1941 in Pearl Harbor was because of our involvement in Chine in the late 30s.
