New mmo from funcom. Now before you bring all your conan hate remember this, This game was in development since 2002 i believe. Looks to be interesting. I am guessing none of you are gonna play it cause you dont like conan so lets all blame the company for it. I am guessing half of yall actually played it the rest are just want to be popular. Anyways this game looks pretty cool.

There have already been some posts about this and yeah most of the people here make fun of Funcom for not putting all of their efforts into AoC, and they are building the game on the same engine so there are bound to be problems.
Funcom has had two horrible launches now, and with AoC they lied and put out the most unfinished mainstream MMO ever so it makes sense that many people will diss on this game and not believe the hype.
At least they can work out a lot of bugs in their engine with AoC...
Secert World will be a great addition to funcom's line up of AO, AOC. the new X-box release of AOC, having worked very hard on developing Secert World im sure this will be a great sucess in the gaming industry and will continue to hold the Developers to the highest of standards. Im sure the company stock holders and investers will continue to support there efforts.

Let me guess you are one of those stock holders? did you check the funcom stock the last time? Dropping from 6 USD to 2 USD yeah they really did a great job bravo!

theres been no news about the game since it was announced a year ago

Im trying to gain favor with AmazingAvery in hopes of seeing more of his devoted posts on all of funcom's indevors. His posts are always Fair Winds and Following Seas when it comes to anything that Funcom says though I do sense some minor rough seas at this time that tend to lead to the saying now as i see it " Red Sky in the morning Sailor's take warrning " Time will tell sooner or later the investors will get a year end report from the preformance of AOC.

I don't think Funcom is in trouble in any manner, they just sold 700k boxes recently. That and they still have subscription income from both of their games although that is dropping in AoC as we type.
AoC is not a bad game, just that it really lacks much content at the upper levels. It will take them time to add it.

looks like a-generation-or-two-after-mayan-2012-doomsday-SciFi-fantasy-hybrid-with-tiny-bit-modern-steampunk-and-shamanistic-magic. The community managers are having lots of fun with it as well, granted very little is known but it's a hell of a lot better than BioWares speculation.

A while back funcom had two games in development showing up on there home page , one was age of conan and the other was the secret world. The page now shows no games in development so either its been canned or put on hold.
I doubt it there was a mod edit that I found from june without even trying.

Did you check the stock? The Funcom stock is currently at it's February - April level, which is around 24 NOK (4.6 USD). It was twice that for a while, due to hype and speculation I guess. Might want to get your facts straight when commenting on things - if facts are of any concern to you.

No worries. Sorry if I was a bit harsh - I jumped to the assumption that you were making the numbers up pretty much.
This article at massively.com seems to actually mix NOK and USD, which is a little... lack of research? :-p
What is the point of following this game's developement?
I'm almost certain that funcom will lie about the features.
How many times do you want to be burned by having faith in this company? Why not just open your wallets and throw your money at them and save funcon the trouble of even having to code anything.
