Ten Ton Hammer: Well, and we (the WAR community) really respect your stance on it, because you come right out and tell us what’s going on.

Mark: Exactly, that’s why I laugh at some of the threads out there. They say, you’re doing just what other developers have done. Actually we have done the exact opposite. We told you guys. We could have waited a ton of time to tell you. We didn’t. Tell me if this sounds familiar, keep the NDA up until after the game launches, then tell everyone. We did not do that. We did the opposite, we told everyone. Here’s some bad news, here is why there is bad news, and here is some good news with it.

I love this company :)

  • The funny thing is people will say they are doing what Funcom did.  Sorta of sad.  Its like they feel if they say it enough it will become the truth or something.

Nice funcom slam. I'm in beta and I love still love this company.

When i was in the AOC beta I felt like i was bent over every time there was a 5 gb patch, or a 3 hour stres test with a 5 gig patch to download 10 minutes into the stress test, to them not having a real beta. Ugh, i'm so glad that game flopped.

    <---- Funcom

    --------------------------------------
A human and an Elf get captured by Skaven. The rat-men are getting ready to shoot the first hostage with Dwarf-made guns when he yells, "Earthquake!" The naturally nervous Skaven run and hide from the imaginary threat. He escapes. The Skaven regroup and bring out the Elf. Being very smart, the Elf has figured out what to do. When the Skaven get ready to shoot, the Elf, in order to scare them, yells, "Fire!"

    Order of the White Border.

Love it. And I love how he brings up the NDA and the fact they plan on lifting it during or shortly after the guild beta phase if everything goes right.

Alittle off topic but did anyone else notice that in the E3 interview MJ, when asked about the release said "Definitly this fall."?

It is a slam of sorts, but the funniest part is it s true.

Agreed.  Funcom isn't the first company to pull that game and Mythic isn't the first company to say that some previously expected features won't be in at release.  However, Mythic gave us a several month warning before release, I don't know any other company that's done that.

Until you cancel your subscription, you are only helping to continue the cycle of mediocrity.

MJ said if everything goes well in guild beta "the fall is looking good for release"

This is one of the reasons Warhammer will get my full support while Age of Conan will get none of it.

That and other reasons.  Such as Warhammer being a MUCH more fulfilling gaming experience.
