ArenaNet has said Guild Wars 2 (revealed March 2007) will not enter beta testing this year, pushing hopes of a launch into the latter stages of 2009.

The click-to-move mechanic is going to be scrapped in favor of more freedom, to run, swim, or jump, and group PvP will now sit alongside huge world-battles between players, which will have no limit to their size.
Eye of the North (GW1,) expansion, will attempt to link the story between the first and second titles. You would not be able to transfer characters between games, but achievements are rumored to be carried through in the Hall of Monuments.
