One of them has "ultra" in the name or "LE/SE/XT". Never go with LE/SE/XT.

The geforce 5700 with 256 uses cheaper memory that is why it is cheaper than the other gerfore 5700. Try to go with ultra cards-spend the most money you can on the graphics card, it is the most important. Here is some good ram(u can overclock to cas2)- http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-144-305&depa=0

If your going to go with the msi k8n-use the stock fan, it is a pain to take the backplate off. I get around 37C idle with the stock fan(good). The stock fan hooks up to the motherboard using a 3 pin power cable.

my mobo supporth dual channel ram right?

  • DerfelCadarnDerfelCadarn Member Posts: 875
That memory will work. AMD64(754 socket) are single-channel memory controller, but the dual channel makes no performance difference(2 percent at the most). IT makes up for it in have the memory controller on the CPU, so the memory controller runs at the cpu's speed. This makes the memory faster than with a intel.
