so, i reactivated a week ago...

after about a year of inactivity...

lost my hawk about 15min later (i made the mistake of assuming i was safe in 0.4 belt, the tempest with the T2 drones made short work of me as a result, ah well, rule 1 and all, no harm done, took my pod and scrammed to empire space   )

so i have a few questions coming from a returning player.

1. some of my best hardware is left in 0.0 space, as i'm no longer part of the corp i was at the time i left (and that corp/alliance is no longer in control of that section of space anyhow) is there any way for me to retrieve my ships/mods?

2. are there still pve corps out there in 0.0? i don't really mind the occasional pvp, but i get most of my fun from shooting missiles at computer drived pixels

I've heard of people petitioning GM's about this same query and getting their assets moved to another station, yet I think it was just ships,  and no modules, something about a certain policy which makes no sense.

 

Anyway, yeah its possible to get your stuff back to empire if you come back after a long time.

And to the PVE 0.0 corps, well you could always look for them. I know my groups not to fond of those that JUST want to rat/complex run, but then people are always accepting

thanks for the reply, i'll try to petition a GM to at least move my ships.

as for the pvp part, i don't mind doing my part for the corp/alliance (i leveled up my interceptor and ECM skills for that) but i really prefer to pve, soi suppose the question should be, are there any corps that accept mostly pve players that are willing to pvp when they're needed but are not rabid about it.

I reactivated my acct once and ended up in a similar situation.  my corp controlled some 0.0 space, with a player owned station.  however when I came back, another corp had moved in, but I was still docked in that station (with my hauler, barge and a decent amount of zyd/mega)

 

I simply got in contact with one of the higher ups in that corp, told him my story and offered to pay for passaged out of there.  I transfered a large amount of isk, packed everything in my hauler and took 30+ jumps back out of 0.0

 

I got gate ganked 1 jump from 0.1, after 26 safe jumps.  but it was just some lame pirate, not the corp who I paid, so I can't complain about that. (the idiot tried to pod me, but simply... couldn't.  i floated over to the gate for a good 1-2min and their silly big guns couldn't hit me)

 

I suggest you contact whoever is in control there, and explain that you are just coming back to the game and offer to pay them if they let you get your stuff.  most people are nice about returning players and EVE has a mostly mature community.  As long as it isn't a pirate corp you should be ok.  just don't try to make 27 jumps through 0.0 in a mammoth.
