Sorry, but I can't say for sure one way or the other. Saying there will be a "F2P" version of Aion could have been a complete mistake on my part. It may have been something like they are making a cash-item shop game that will be similar to Aion, but not in any way the same game.
Also, the underlying point of my reply to the previous post, is that Aion could possibly the biggest target for 3rd party RMT merchants out of the all the game currently in development. I think Aion has the best chance of having a close to as huge of a "secondary market" as WoW.

-A PvE centric MMORPG with- -Fast paced twitch-action combat that requires hand-eye coordination, where you can manually aim your attacks instead of having to acquire/lock target(s) first. -FPS-style WASD and mouse control that determine your overall success when attacking or defending.
I don't think it comes as a surprise Aion will feature a huge secondary market...Look at any major MMOs: WoW, L2, WAR and you find the same pattern. Games that are fun/good to play will attract ppls with not enough time (work/personal) but money to spend, and those with time, or can pay ppls with time can make a killing. You can ban bots/farmers all you want but it won't stop them because it is a profitable business.
After playing the CN beta, i would say Aion is pretty much a better version of WoW, both graphically and ingame system. Taking what is good from wow and fixing the bad, then tag on some gimmick flying and there you have probably the next best thing
