Western mmorpgs are the over hyped ones.....

Always have been, always will be.

There the game creators always talk about how "awesome" their game will be and spends more time talking about how "great" it is, than showing the game to the masses, Asian ones, they show more than they talk of it, just check how more "free" their NDA rules are fore closed betas as well, i mean that right there speaks for itself.

Wow these forums never cease to amaze me.  There are examples of racism, sexism, and any other ism you can think of in this thread discussing a game that is still in closed beta in another country.

Why don't we just hope that it turns out to be a great game with something new to occupy our time, and give those people that are into it's style a game to play.  I think it looks like a great game, and I hope that they try to be innovative and not aim to be too much like WoW.

Yes, yes it will be. Only after War is released.

One of the basis of prejudices is thinking that 2 things are meant to be entirely different just cause of its origin. I wouldn't want to label Aion just with "asian", but as a potential good game.

Some people have things against Asian games due to bad experiences, just like some have against western games due to their bad experiences, however, it doesn't matter to me where the game comes from if the concepts are as promising as Aion's.

And thunder, you might want to check that wording, I've got the feeling that you didn't say what you meant lol.

Hehe, the last sentence was quite amusing.

WAR ain't my cup of tea, from what i've seen so far, from the podcasts and beta videos, the combat looks awkward, after seeing character movement and combat movement i was kinda shocked but correct me, if they have made it fluid since then but for now, Aion seems like the next big thing, it's silent right now. But that might change, i guess it's to avoid being an overblown balloon, like AoC.
