Hi everyone, Back on April 8th, we closed the Training Room Test Server to public access to proceed with the closed beta testing of Issue 12: Midnight Hour. Since then, we’ve pushed 1 update and are working to push out our second today, Friday April 18th. We’ve also included several hundred additional testers to the players who have access. At this time, we are continuing to keep the player pool small and manageable as there are still areas of Issue 12 that are not open to public access nor finished and ready for public play testing and feedback. The main focus of the closed beta at this point has been balance and playability of the Villain Epic Archetypes and proliferated powersets, feedback on the Hollows Gameplay Makeover and the many Quality of Life and User Interface improvements included in Issue 12. We anticipate that closed beta will last several more weeks. While we understand that many people are interested and excited to participate in the closed beta, please understand that we will proceed as our testing needs dictate and not to meet the desires or expectations of interested players. We really appreciate your willingness to provide feedback, but we are will have the opportunity for that feedback to come in and be considered during the Open Beta phase. so, november since i11, closed beta 'several more weeks' (mid may), open beta for a good month (mid june) and so we get i12 at 7 months from last issue?
awful long time between issues.
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?

To the OP.
Did you really need to post practically the same thing in both the Coh and CoV forums?
To Deathstrike,
Is there a game that gives you issue sized updates more often?
Since they have not combined the forum here on MMO, I don't blame him for posting the same thing on both CoV and CoH forum. Heck, even the main CoX forum combined their general talk for Villains and Heroes.
Myself, I'm kinda glad they pushed it back. Currently 42 with my AR/Dev Corrupter and I'm not really a power leveler.
your arguement is so persuasive, so filled with knowledge and insight. You back up your argument very articulately, with suggestions of improvements and raising examples to glorify your position....oh wait, you didn't
1st - troll on.
2nd - yes. a number of mmo's kick stuff out every quarter (that's every 90 days/3 months).
ignoring the year+ for i6-i7, leading up to i8. let's just start at i8
i8 11/28/06 couple of days shy of dec. so let's go with 12/06
i9 05/01/07 all of december, jan, feb, mar, apr. 5 months plus a few days
i10 07/24/07 three months! hopes are back for quarterly issues.
i11 11/28/07 rounding 07/24 up to august, sept, oct, nov, only 4 months, good job. kinda
i12, closed beta testing, estimated to be done with closed beta mid-may, maybe. open beta will go another month, mid-june. dec, jan, feb, mar, apr, may, at least half of june. by my count, back to 6 1/2 months or so.
that makes one issue for this year, as the second quarter of the year ends. will they push out another two issues this year and make it three?
fanboi'ism is like stupid - you can't fix it.

You also have to consider the fact that NcSoft only had about 15 people working on CoH at the time. And now that they have NcSoft NorCal dedicated to CoX only and are hiring new devs issues should be rolling out just as they were before. Issue 12 was supposed to be a small issue and look at what is supposed to be coming out. Considering the recent move and new devs I think they're doing pretty good... Once the newbs get used to the code and whatnot things should be moving along a little bit faster.
