Devon Guild ( DAoC Comeback)

This post has been made because I have gotten a few PM's in regards to players wanting to come to devon and join a guild and have some fun.

I have recently made some post about Devon and that I am in a guild there that does quite fine. I still have characters in this guild, but I also made a post here on MMORPG about creating a heretic guild on devon as well.

I was finally able to achieve this. 1 minor change tho is we decided to not make it Heretic only but instead church of arawn related.

We started "Dragonsbane" on the Bedevere server (anyone wishing to see it's stats can go to the camelot herald and search out dragonsbane / bedevere you will find it).

The guild is for Heretics, Reavers, and Necromancers. Which we consider to be the most diverse at what they do.

Heretics are arguably one of the most diverse casters of albion, they have the fire power of a DD caster, the heals of a cleric and the buffs of a friar. They are decent with weapons and shield and can withstand quite a beating. We found that this particular class shines when combined with other heretics, since they are by nature a support class. We have been running 8 tic groups for 2 weeks now and decimate anything and everything we touch. It has been very fun.

Reavers are arguably the most diverse fighters of albion, with good AF, great at weapon skills, and being a hybrid caster bring a lot of utility to the table in regards to grouping. We use the reavers as front like defense for our heretics.

Necromancers along with the cabalist are hands down the best power levelers and money makers in the game, almost everyone in our guild holds a level 50 necro. Although we mainly use them to obtain whatever ends we need for armors and or money, they also make powerful allies when in the PvE setup and can hold their own behind the reavers in PvP using the Abominations.

 

So far this guild has turned out great, we have almost 30 members now, (only been up a week) we party and level every night, we have been doing arti raids, labs, rvr in NF, and as soon as everyone is 50 and geared up we will set off on killing the dragons.... A LOT.

Our main goal is to have fun, and we do that very well I think.

Our second goal is to revive DAoC and let people know the game is not dead, there are still people playing that love the game, still play it hard, and still like to have fun.

On a side note, according to the herald, DAoC population is on the rise, It has jumped 300 players across all three clusters. YAY!

i just looked on there right know and wow its looking good for alot of merged servers really!! *the devon being the best one really.

i think DAOC is starting to make a come back or somehting. its just the weekday and the servers are high. i cant wait to see the weekends.

ps.  on the devon cluster what real is the highest.  i want to know so i wont pick them. i love to have a challenge.

Balanced between the albs and mids, with hib having a severe handicap. They say Hib is balanced to but the hibs get rolled everytime I go into NF or Labs.

 

So if you like underdogs, Hibs are your best bet.

Course Hibs get the crap kicked out of them on every cluster, so you can never go wrong with them.

hehe i never been to much of a hib really more of a mid. but i will look into the hibs probly to to try and even things out haha.
