hi all im wanting to come back to daoc, but i dont remember my old login name and password so i am going to have to buy another version of the game, which version is the up to date, the epic edition or the 5th aniversary?

I would Assume the 5th ann. I have the Epic Edition and it has everything but Labs.
So either or would do. Unless 5th ann. has Labs with it to then get that one.
Yeah, the 5th anniversary edition is the one you'd want. ^^
I'm thinking of playing again myself so maybe I'll see you around. I'm still trying to decide between the classic cluster or the new normal cluster.

I have thought about coming back myself and I've only been gone about 3 months. My issue is after so many years of RvR I made the move to the co-op server where you can play for an hour and never see another player. So if-when I do make it back I guess I'll head back to the classic cluster so I can learn to hate the cross-realming too.

That was one of my major gripes with the game. The cross realm problem is very annoying. The thing is it has spawned other problems such as a degradation of the community as a whole IMO.
Rarely do people care anymore about the realm as a whole. It has become a more individualistic endeavor or a more small guild/8man pursuit. Basically... it's not what it used to be and that's what I miss.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
on the 5th anniversary of the game, does it include all the expansions up to date?
The versions of the expansions are probably not up to date, but what you do is run the latest expansion being the Labyrinth of the Minotaur and just let it update, it's probably not that big of an up date. Assuming you're not on dial up you'll DL it in probably 30 minutes to 1 hour max I'd say. I'm only speculating though since I no longer play the game. But as I remember it, none of the patches were huge.

The 5th anniversary edition comes with all of the expansions to date, so it's definitely the one to get. And as Illius said, you'll have to do some patching also, but it shouldn't take long.

Bah, I can't believe I missed your post earlier x_x. Thanks for the offer but I'm still in the undecided phase on wether I'm coming back or not. I'm playing AC right now, but in all honestly, it seems to be lacking something that I can't really put my finger on.
Also, I'm still not sure if I'd want to go with the normal or classic cluster if I come back. Judging by camelotherald.com, the classic server is still ahead in population, so I'm tempted to go with that. Of course, then I'd miss out on a lot of nice pve content; bleh, it's a hard decision.
Anyway, thanks again for the offer, and if I decide to resub again (which I might do later today if I finally convince myself hehe) I might have to take you up on it
