Hard core or Casual?

Real quick. Would you (on average) consider this game casual player friendly or is it more hard core these days?

Just wondering

Well from what i learned, despite the stuff they implemented to help the lower levels and starting players, its still a hardcore game.

I'd call it hardcore, at least from a time perspective.  You will need to devote much effort to earning the adena you need to keep your gear on par with your level.  Drops from leveling won't do it, you'll have to actively learn the economic system to succeed.

Or cheat like the other RMT buyers do

It's still hardcore. You just don't have to give all your blood and sign over your first born anymore.

Yeah its definately still hardcore. It requires a TON of time if you hit higher levels still, which they should implement a better leveling system for higher levels, although i don't really mind but thats just because i have a ton of time which other people might not (Casual) so it is definatly still hardcore.

Definitely a hardcore game no matter how you look at it. Come to think of it are there any other games out there that are as hardcore as L2? Eve Online? Final Fantasy Online?

  • Panther2103Panther2103 Member EpicPosts: 5,606

Well maybe eve online because of the fact that it confused me before i finished the tutorial

I quit my trial account after that tutorial because it took litterally 2 hours for me to figure out one of the stupid parts, and then i just kinda gave up. And i normally don't do that, having played lineage for 3 to 4 years, and almost every other MMORPG.

Final Fantasy 11 is not more hardcore its just more group dependent, which takes away a lot of the hardcoreness of it (Yes i know that is not a word i just couldn't think of anything better).
